Posted: 19 Dec 2020 08:10 PM PST With the current handing out of random skins with the Trust the Rust event, some seem shocked that Facepunch (FP) would be so careless with their market. Let's get real here. Skins are artistic content, not securities. You do not own the skins, only a loose right to use them. There is no expectation of stability regarding the Rust skins market and your purchases are not insured in any way whatsoever. Stop complaining. You signed up for this. [link] [comments]

I Enabled the XMP for my Ram - Now seeing better performance in Rust Posted: 19 Dec 2020 02:47 PM PST Hey all, I always look for ways to increase performance in Rust and thought I would share this one. A friend of mine explained to me that your ram by default doesn't run at it's advertised speed. In order to change this he told me to enable the XMP for my ram in BIOS. From what I can tell this is sort of like overclocking your ram, the profile is designed to increase the voltage and speed of your ram to a spot that your computer can handle. It's super simple, you go into bios, enable the XMP, done. I followed this video which explained to me what XMP is and how to enable it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDzrq5IxBX4&t I'm now seeing much better performance while playing. My FPS hasn't changed but the game feels a lot less jittery. Prior to enabling the profile I would be pushing 100fps but the game would feel as though it's running at 50fps - now with XMP enabled, it actually feels like 100fps. Let me know if you guys see any difference in performance - I'd be curious to know. Cheers, Astroblizzy. [link] [comments]

Suggestions for a noob who’s bad/scared of combat Posted: 19 Dec 2020 04:45 PM PST So I'm a pretty new player <75 hours. I love rust, think about rust, watch rust movies daily when I'm not at work. I am just utterly trash at the combat. The weapons just don't fire like your standard fps and it's hard for me to transition that. Whenever I load in I just find myself rushing to make a little base, get a T1 and then just smash barrels and never progress farther than that because I lose 99% of my fights and can never snowball. My friends won't play because they think the game is too toxic so I'm usually only running solo. Does anyone have suggestions on what I could do just to expand my gameplay experience? Or tips on how to improve combat skills? Thank you [link] [comments]
A zipline would be excellent in Rust. Posted: 19 Dec 2020 06:32 PM PST Being able to fashion a line between your base and your friends etc. [link] [comments] |
