Bug Reporting Megathread - The Tree Fix Update Posted: 07 Nov 2019 11:40 AM PST Well, it has finally merged from the Staging BRANCH. I simply WOOD not believe it if I didn't read about it myself. The Tree Fix Update is here, and we won't just LEAF any bugs unreported, will we? No! We get to the ROOT of the problem. So get in-game and tell your bosses/significant other to kiss your axe for the next few days, it is time for Rust! I will leave the ACORN-y puns alone and get back to the ROOT-ine. So SPRUCE up everyone, and let's make this the most POPLAR Megathread ever! What's a tree's favorite subject in school? GEOMETRY! Please help the developers by reporting any bugs, using the following points: You can report bugs in-game by pressing F7. [BUG] Something game-breaking that shouldn't happen. [QoL] Quality of Life change that doesn't necessarily break the game, but would be nice to fix. Please try to include helpful evidence related to the bug, such as screenshots, videos, or GIFs. Describe how to recreate the bug, if you know how. If your bug has already been posted, upvote it and reply to it with your info. Post your system specifications if the bug seems to be hardware/graphics-related. [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Nov 2019 08:13 PM PST These guys, in all honesty, were destroying us. They also kept stealing our horses, which we then stole back, and the circle just kept going on. But after we finally got kn the same level as them and killed them JUST ONCE, they camped our cave for 20 minutes. So once I noticed they weren't at home, whether they were online or not I'm not sure of, I quickly brought everything I had previously set up and surrounded their base. They have yet to return 3 hours later. Thoughts? I tried getting a screenshot but for some reason my steam screenshots are broken. [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Nov 2019 03:03 PM PST Due to the changes done in the recent update, most if not all binds for chat commands such as "/home 1" or "/remove" were broken. After some trial and error, this is what I came down to (I had help of course) previously: bind a "chat.say "/remove"\" bind a "chat.say "/home 1"\" after changes: bind a "chat.say {0, "/remove" bind b "chat.say {0, "/home 1"}" the main difference now is that commands with a single variant just as /remove don't need the extra }" multiple variant commands such as "/home 1" do. hope this helps **EDIT** I'm hoping this all gets patched to something more manageable in the future, since there are already 3 methods (which I know of) that work, examples below single variant:
multiple variants:
Don't forget your keys.cfg (or others) might need to be read-only (right click -> properties -> tick read-only) Instead of restarting your game you can also use "exec keys.cfg" (assuming you haven't renamed your file [link] [comments]
