| An open letter/suggestion on how to improve the current rust suggestion system. Posted: 06 Nov 2019 10:11 AM PST First I would like to make a disclaimer. I actually really like the current system, as it theoretically allows for the community to band together and raise awareness of what we want. Unfortunately this system has one fatal flaw, and it's not necessarily Facepunch's fault. Not enough people use it to make a significant impact. If you check the top suggestions tab, nearly all of the top ranked posts were made five months ago. Simultaneously if you check the trending tab, it's very rare to see a post surpass twenty upvotes, and I think the most I've ever seen on a newish suggestion was 60. So, I have a proposition. Put the trending suggestion tab on the games loading screens, and allow people to upvote/downvote them from there. I'm going to make the assumption that most of rust's playerbase don't have SSDs, so this would help kill time while the game loads in, and mitigate the lack of users on the suggestion tab. | M249 Norecoil error. Bug or working as intended? Posted: 06 Nov 2019 09:08 PM PST I was raiding today and was shooting a M249 with explosive ammo to shoot off some turrets, I was Tap shooting every 1 sec +/- and the gun would go back to the starting position with out any recoil, Shooting 2 bulets would make the gun recoil like crazy, but taping once every second did not. The server admin messaged me asking me if I was using a script and if so to turn it off, I don't even know what a script is and what it does. So I investigated a bit online, Some say the M249 has a recoil bug that if you tap it , it returns to the starting point, For others this does not work, Anyone know what the problem could be?
