Is it possible to transfer loot through a stone wall? Posted: 19 Mar 2020 08:05 PM PDT Unfortunately someone went deep on my base and when I came back after getting murdered ~2-3 minutes later I came back to an empty base deprived of all my loot. After inspecting my base it showed no signs of him breaking through any of my walls as they were undamaged. Initially I thought he just despawned everything but after a quick google search I found that the despawn timer in rust was 5 minutes. I was wondering if it was possible to transfer loot from the inside to the outside of a stone wall and if so can anyone tell me how to. [link] [comments]
Quick review of GeForce Now and Rust. Posted: 19 Mar 2020 04:11 PM PDT So after my laptop burned out the motherboard from playing too much Rust I took a three month break. I decided to try out GeForce Now using an old laptop on 5G Wi-Fi. I did get the Founders edition. This was on a 4k map, with around 60 or 70 players on when I logged. Overall it's a solid experience. FPS seems to hover around 70ish but the important thing is that it doesn't bounce around too much. The only major time I saw an FPS drop was around launch during a fire fight with someone taking Bradley. Even then it was around 50 FPS. I turned off all the experimental stuff, graphics slider six, draw distance 2500. I did notice FPS was lower before I changed to these settings. But I'm talking 50-60. The big issue for me is with Wi-Fi. I don't expect nvidia to make this perfect but when the signal gets weak it's worse than any lag spike/FPS drop I've seen before. An Ethernet cable would most likely fix this but it's not an option for me right now. Again, not an nvidia issue. Anyway, for anyone who can't play Rust because of their potato, at $5 bucks a month this is a great deal. [link] [comments]
So I have zero fucking idea what happened. Posted: 19 Mar 2020 10:59 PM PDT So, I am posting this here because I genuinely have no idea what happened I have my computer set up with Steam Family Share for a while now with a friend's account who owned RUST. I had heard and seen gameplay of it, but have never played it myself, and so I decided to give it a try. I spent 30 minutes downloading him while in a Discord Call with him, and when it was done I immediately ran the game. I figured I should note that I am running Manjaro Linux in case that helps. As soon as I run the game, it immediately crashes. Which would be no biggie, except that at the exact same time that it crashes Discord, which was running on my phone to the side, Disconnects. At this point I was worried. Steam on my PC had disconnected, Discord on my phone wasn't connecting, not even Netflix on my TV. At the exact same time that Rust Crashed, EVERYTHING regarding my Internet just died. I have to make this post using Mobile Data for Christ's sake. I genuinely don't know what happened, whether this has to do with the game or my PC or my Modem, but my internet just won't work anymore. If anyone has just the SLIGHTEST, VAGUEST IDEA as to how to fix this, I am all ears. I already tried restarting both my Modem and my Router several times, turned off my PC ECT. [link] [comments]

What should I do if I want to play Rust, and have nobody to play it with? Posted: 19 Mar 2020 06:53 PM PDT I have 167 hours in game, and I'm not very good. Every LFG seems to be about having 4000+ hours and a flawless AK Spray, etc. etc. etc. I understand that Rust isn't exactly a casual game, but is there any way of getting into groups of people who are similarly experienced as me? It's not that I'm unwilling to play large amounts, but playing alone can be extremely unforgiving and downright depressing, and doesn't make me want to play the game at all. [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Mar 2020 12:34 AM PDT I know you don't take damage while disconnected from the server, however, if I disconnect in my base which is in the snow biome, re-log, then stay on the sleeper screen will I still take damage from cold and inevitably die or will I survive as if I was disconnected? Posted: 19 Mar 2020 07:00 PM PDT I've timed out 17 times today while in queue for rust and have gotten pushed back behind over 100 people easily 5 times. I don't think it's my internet because I haven't been disconnected from any other online games today but whenever I try to queue for rust it times out. I have been at this for 4 hours and 30 minutes. Does anyone know what I could do? [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Mar 2020 12:18 AM PDT Posted an image earlier of the discord game chat that shows my base was raided by a confirmed hacker who was later banned. The image was removed for the server operorators choice of wording for certain automated ingame notifications such as "killed by guntrap" ,that, the server owners decided to add flair to, which included profanity. Unfortunately, due to this I dont have an illustrated example of how I discovered I was raided by a hacker while at work. Nevertheless, after some quick thought, I thought of a way to minimize the impact of unfair gameplay in rust, and potentially boost server activity, and subsequently, store purchases, or server memberships. What if the server saved the base data and the names of raiders for a limited time period, to give the victims of a raid by hackers the chance to investigate, report the unfair gameplay, and if a ban was issued on a raider, the player would have the opportunity to recover the base as was with console commands. Something like : /hackraid [hackername] restore. All items taken from the base would be removed from the game, and items saved would be respawned on base restore. All changes to base location and area would be restored to what the base owner saved to the server previously. Given the base owner shows proof of hack and is approved by admins.... or something like that. I'm sure, given some proper thought by people who are payed to developed the game; they could come up with a similar, simpler, or better solution for players who want to log back in and continue playing without feeling salty of a unfair loss of time put into the game, or who would possibly not play on that server furthermore.
