    How does this make any sense? In what world does a water pump actually consume water?

    I get the consumption bit with electrical because electric parts need power, but a split valve for water would not.

    If this was the case anyone who drives would be re-filling their radiators once a week....

    Also, we need a water combiner to be able to combine multiple water catchers into one barrel since those plants now need a lot of water.

    Edit: I figured out you can connect water catchers together. So now this post is just about water being consumed.

    Hey guys, I'm coming back from a long absence and the game is completely different now. Essentially I'm looking for cheeky ways to poke at my server mates. So far I've done with building a small base just outside of the TC to someone else, rigging up a solar panel, battery, and speaker so that there's a constant alarm until they have the means to stop it. I play on a vanilla server so it's interesting to see what people do...waste valuable materials to stop the ringing or put up with it, lol.

    Rust and Discord crashing on server join, potential fix:

    Hello, recently i accoured a problem with my Rust. It would crash upon joining a server, and so would my discord. I searched the internet for hours, and in the end, with a little help from a friend, i found a solution, that is quite simple. I helped another user on a different post, but will make this post, for everyone with similar problem, to see.

    My original comment:

    I'm back! After searching the internet thin, and bothering a few of my friends with my endless crying, that my rust isn't working, my friend found a post with similar problem as mine. Basically my discord was crashing, alongside my Rust. To fix the discord crash, i turned of Hardware Acceleration in the Discord settings - I don't know if you have that problem, but there it is.

    To fix my rust, I added 16.000 MB (16 GB) of virtual RAM on my SSD in my advanced system settings. Here is a link. I added 16 GB, because that is my current amount of memory installed - so if you have 8 GB, u add 8.000 MB, and so on so forth. And that is pretty much about it, it's very simple, and might require a quick restart of your computer.

    A few other things i did, that might have had an impact;

    • Added launch options: "-high -maxMem=16000 -malloc=system -force-feature-level-11-0 -cpuCount=6 -exThreads=12 -force-d3d11-no-singlethreaded"

    (NOTE: This is my exact launch options, but you should costumize the text, according to your specs:

    -maxMem=x x = your memory amount - 16GB = 16.000 and so on)

    -cpuCount=x x = your number of cores in your CPU

    -exThreads=x x = your number of threads in your CPU

    • Install the game on your SSD
    • Chill with the backgroundapps - pause YouTube videos, downloads and so on. (Might be very self explanatory, but sometimes the best forget) (Again, no idea if it actually helps anyone, but better try it, when were at it, lol)

    TL;DR: Set x amount of virtual RAM on your SSD, depending on how much RAM you currently have installed. If Discord is also crashing, turn off hardware acceleration. Few extra tips that might help or might not.

    I am fairly new to the game, 40 hours on the game. I can get to where I have an Eoka and Nailgun and Crossbow, but I never get past it, wether I get raided or die, or run out of supplies and die in the open. Any tips on how I can survive and get to at least T1 gear?
