    Tips for building hard-to-raid bases

    -build near a safe zone. Building next to outpost or bandit camp will cause anyone who shoots a gun or damages anything will get killed on sight by the npcs. This will deter a majority of raiders, and give access to a safe recycler and gambling, plus many shops.

    -use rock formations to your advantage. You can build your base inside them in a way that forces raiders to raid the base how YOU want them too, allowing you to take advantage of traps. They can also conceal a base if the formation is big enough.

    -build on an island. Most people stay on the mainland, so there is less chance your base will get randomly discovered by raid-hungry Zergs. If you have enough resources, you can potentially wall off the island so the only way in is through a helicopter or a specified entry point.

    -take advantage of SAM sites. They will deter all flying vehicles coming over its position. But do be warned: they will shoot at your helicopters and turrets will shoot at them if they are next to each other. You don't want people raiding your fort through the roof you couldn't afford to close? BOOM Sam site. Your base on an island? BOOM Sam site.

    -Water base. Scuba tanks and goggles are extremely easy to find, yet most just throw them away because they have little use. However, you can use them to build a base that has its foundation under water and a small 3x3 on top armed with turrets to prevent any raiders from coming near it. The farther out to sea, the better. Just make sure to bring a helicopter or a boat.
