Suggestions After 1900 Hours Solo Posted: 12 May 2020 08:34 PM PDT Kind of different suggestions than people might think. I actually find PVP reasonably balanced as a solo, mostly because their are server options for your skill level. My suggestions are definitely more RP and gameplay expanding related. Stuff Id love to see :

Feedback on the pace of the game Posted: 12 May 2020 02:34 PM PDT Rust's is slowly becoming an other battle royale and losing it's survival aspects. I have been playing for a long time, been here for all the different systems and metas; blueprints, xp, components, wallstacking etc. The game has became so fast people can literally farm high end weapons 30 minutes after a wipe. Systems like this farming update and electricity indicate that Facepunch also would like longer resets and that people actually have time to enjoy the many benefits of the game on the long term, but you can literally get raided the first night on a blueprint wiped server, before you can even farm the sprinkler. Everything is faster. Material farming (jackhammer, recycler, buying things at Outpost/BC). Back in my day there was only a pickaxe. Raiding is faster (decay system eliminating the fun aspect of free sandbox base designing, + the sense of accomplishment after laying down every brick on your base knowing when it was completed, it was completed) People can ladder on your base, you have no garden because high external walls are a relics with scrap heli meta. Vehicles on their way. You can't live everywhere on the map you want, unlike at the blueprint age where you could have outposts at monuments but your base could be anywhere. The current meta even outpaces the component system; what is the point of farming rifle bodies and getting that 50 hq for an AK if you can farm specific monuments on 30min cd for free weapons. With bows. Or fly to the top of the the majority of the monuments on mainland. Fuse and card system? Minigame of jumping to the top of the dome? Please, we have helicopters. Also monuments are less visited in general because people are just flying everywhere (including outpost for multiple inventory of wood for a couple of jackhammered stone deposits, which they can turn into cupboards to save space). Back in my day there was only a hatchet. TLDR: Rust have a broken progression system which way too fast paced and conflicts with previous design decisions. [link] [comments] | ||
