TIL about Pickles and how insanely useful they are

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 09:28 PM PDT

So to preface this, i've got a few issues on my hands and, legitimately, pickles has been the answer to every single one. You buy 6 pickles for 1 scrap at the bandit camp.

    1) I need horse food. Pickles can be bought cheaply for good horse food that'll fill the trough. The resulting horse dung can be turned into fertiliser for a net profit of scrap.

    2) I need fish bait. (Notice the theme of shortage of food in general)
1 pickle as bait = trout = 5 scrap / 30 more pickles. Huge net profit of scrap once again.

    3) Scrap in general. The above 2 creates scrap, but this is another way to invest, so to speak.
5 pickles creates 1 fertilizer. 2 fertilizers sells for 3 scrap. So if I buy 12 pickles for 2 scrap and then compost 10 of them, it's a net profit each time of 1 scrap, 2 pickles. The margins aren't quite as huge but it's an option to do on the side on top of the the above 2.

And hell, if you do bandit camp runs of literally nothing but pickles, who's going to take that shit if they're not in the know?

    Anything else i'm missing?
I've been using pumpkins as my main food, bait and horse food and it started getting hard to find enough of them, despite living next to 2 rivers. I'm not using corn as i'm selling it for corn and all hunting gains go to the horses. Hell, I even had to go scavenge for food crates when the pumpkins got thin. So buying pickles seems like the best answer for everything right now.

    UI Adaptation For High Resolutions

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 02:27 PM PDT

    Description:

    • Users with "special" resolutions [meaning Widescreen, as well as Multi monitor setups] have the UI stretched over all the screens.

    Issues:

    1. UI is not on center screen
      - Health-/food-/water-bar is out of the actual field of view.
      - Chat is out of the actual field of view
      [Check Picture: https://imgur.com/k6rEbQ5 ]
    2. In-Game Menu is stretched out.
      [Check Picture: https://imgur.com/MmQOlgq ]
    3. Out-Game Menu is stretched out.
      [Check Picture: https://imgur.com/qlx8f3Y ]
      [Check Picture: https://imgur.com/Kxnop55 ]
      [Check Picture: https://imgur.com/o9rvgJU ]

    Personal Suggestion:

    • Probably the quickest fix is to move the Anchor-Point of the UI elements to the LOWER-CENTER of the screen and have a MARGIN from that point. The margin should be customizable from the user in this case.
      [Check Picture: https://imgur.com/VM4sd1s ]
    • Alternativley give the user the option to customize the left and right UI margin.

    Conclusion:
I know that this issue might not be very common, however it bothers a lot and it would be a small but great improvement for the players that invest a lot of time, money and effort in these setups.
At last: Thank you for creating this fantastic game and for the big effort you put into it. My friends and I are all already hyped on your next updates!

    are powered water purifiers bugged?

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 10:21 PM PDT

I can't get 3 of them to work in parallel. Only one will ever work at a time..

I have a water splitter that is hooked up to a source that outputs 24. Each branch of the splitter goes to 1 powered water purifier. In this configuration, only the first water purifier gets any water. The other two do nothing. If I disconnect water purifier 1, then purifier 2 starts filling (3 does nothing). If I disconnect 1 and 2, then 3 fills..

    Makes no sense..
