    A few questions.

    Is there any way to play solo so I can actually learn the mechanics?

    Is there any way to cheese the system to choose your character appearance? (This is such a retarded limitation)

    How is the gunplay? Most survival games have combat that feels like shit, so was curious if it actually feels like an fps once you get a gun.

    I have around 1,400 hours in Ark, and 400 in Conan Exiles, and who knows how many in Minecraft, so I'm not new to the survival genre, but I've always avoided Rust for some reason.

    I find it kind of weird that there isn't this feature yet because if you're by yourself using a mini and have to get out in a safe zone or anywhere that isn't your base someone can just snatch it making you lose your scrap. Sometimes I want to fly to bandit and recycle gamble and buy stuff but can't even fly there because someone is usually hovering around trying to take it. Taking it to raids is almost always a guaranteed steal too.

    I was watching irisk and he was crafting a bunch of tcs to clear up inventory space and instead of cancelling one and starting it again he just puts one in the back to the front and the crafting timer starts again. anyone know how to do that?

    How many other solos live by the many bases mantra?

    I feel like the ability to set you back to the beach is so much lower when you have a cluster of bases surrounding each other but its not something I see that often.

    Having 3 16 rocket bases gives you three respawn options and the ability to counter online raids. It's also super cheap to set up. The big issue is having furnaces split up and trying to move what where when it needs it.

    I built a main this wipe and within 12 hours the front door got blown off and there were ladders. Something to think about fellow solos.

    I don't really play but I watch a lot of Rust on YouTube. The main three I watch are Welyn, Stevie, and Blooprint. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on some other Rust YouTubers to watch with similar styles? I'm a big fan of long story style Rust videos that span over a whole wipe.

    Player returning from 2014 Rust (when graphics were shit and we had orange bears/wolves) what are the biggest changes I should be aware of since?

    Basically the title. I played rust a ton back in 2014 and recently started to play again. The base gameplay is the same and I understand the new recycle stuff but what are the major changes I should be aware of?

    only the first few hours of a wipe. the bow stage. once someone gets guns...its just not fun anymore. its just infuriating joining a server that was wiped 6 hours ago, and the first person i meet is shooting a gun at me and ive been running around trying to get supplies for a bow. i finnaly get a bow and i get gunned down by the first person i engage in PvP with. if i shoot and miss someone...thats it,game over
