Am I the only one that likes to play Rust in a civilized fashion? Posted: 20 Mar 2021 03:58 PM PDT I don't like having a big base with all walls covering me and turrets all around. I don't like shooting people for no reason. I don't like not having electricity or water running in my small base. I like to have a peaceful relationship with my neighbors. If someone kills me, and they have stuff I want back like good clothes, or a key card I try to be diplomatic and exchange for scrap. I also hate shooting for absolutely no reason. I just want to enjoy Rust. Don't get me wrong I LOVE TO RAID, I mean I love it. There's also plenty of hostile players to kill, so I'm not a complete pacifist. For new solo players who want to give up Posted: 20 Mar 2021 05:25 PM PDT Rust is hard and you'll get killed tons, but you can co-exist with the sweaty bois. As a solo, I've learned this. Just talk to EVERYONE and don't get mad when you get killed. Just by talking to everyone, you get on their radar. If they need anything, offer help. Help your neighbors when they need it. I've had my hands on every gun in the game before 100 hours with no pvp. The pvp chads remember me and I've had many of them drop off guns at my base just for being friendly. I still suck at pvp. I still play solo. The last server I got on, I ran up to a big base. I dodged the bullets he shot at me and asked for a bow to get started. He came out and gave me a bow, arrows, and wood armor. I am looking to buy Rust and setup a server for my friends and I, can I do this? I also have some more questions Posted: 20 Mar 2021 06:41 PM PDT Me and a few other of my friends have gaming PCs that could run Rust, but the majority of the group has Macs. Can Rust run on a Mac comfortably? We have been looking for a new game and Rust seems perfect. The one problem I see is that the map is really really big, is there a way to change how big the map is on a server, and make it a private server? Some people might not want to fight, is there a game-style we could play where we all work together to build stuff and do almost like a co-op game? A few people are quite stubborn about prices, is Rust going to go on sale soon?
