This is insane. Can anyone recommend an app or something other than playrustLFG? I have 1.2k hours, decent builder, rusty electrician, like to roam/farm/grind and raid. Used to be ok with an AK but I'm a rusty old fart atm so I need to practice again. [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Jun 2021 06:46 AM PDT With the addition of the colored names above a player, the more red indicating more hostile/agressive/likely to KOS everyone, it would be interesting to play around with the idea of de-buffs/drawbacks for players designated as such and on the contrary perks for friendly players. For instance you wouldn't be able to enter safe zones past a certain threshold or your cool down timer to enter would be longer. Maybe hostile players take longer to spawn in. Vendors rates suck more or are way better. These sorts of features could incentivize more positive interactions and reward friendlier behavior. Could be a potential deterrent for needless roof-camping. Thoughts? Potential for abuse? What would you add or change about this idea? EDIT: added FP suggestion here to further conversation. Posted: 24 Jun 2021 06:02 AM PDT So, I run a server (duh). It runs great, has never crashed and is really just good. It runs on my PC behind the game so I can host a world for friends etc. My PC is a Windows 10 system, 5800x, 3080, 32GB memory, etc. Yet, after updating to the staging branch to test out fancy disco lights. I couldn't find a way to revert. So, I used the only way I knew fit. I deleted RustDedicated_Data - And I updated the game (reinstalled) using steamcmd.exe, however this only caused a boot loop on the .bat file. With some modifying I fixed it, and now I have this. Please help, the yellow errors seem to have something to do with it. (The errors just keep on coming until the process repeats) The referenced script on this Behaviour (Game Object 'effect - FXAA') is missing! The referenced script on this Behaviour (Game Object '<null>') is missing! The referenced script on this Behaviour (Game Object 'effect - FXAA') is missing! 3k Hour Player AK Recoil & Thoughts on Scripting Posted: 23 Jun 2021 08:21 AM PDT Given the recent popularity in Rust, I haven't seen many posts depicting what the average Rust expectation is for AK control and recoil. We all know cheating and scripting is rampant, and I wanted to give people a closer look at reality of what legitimate recoil control looks like. The number of 500 hour players, 2 month old steam accounts, vac banned accounts, beaming double or triple headshots at 150m+ consistently has been ridiculous as of late. For some background, I'm a 3k hour player that has a wife and full time job. I play modded since it gives me more opportunity to pvp full kit without the grind. While my team pvps mainly, we play all aspect of the game and have dedicated a lot of time to base building, defense, and raiding. First point I want to make for newer players is to ignore the people complaining about offlines, roofcamping, using an LR, etc... Rust was designed the way it was intentionally, which means you can play the game however you want. That being said, one of the more challenging and gratifying things in this game is to actually learn how to control recoil on the guns. I wanted to put together a non edited clip of what realistic ak recoil control looks like. I'm not claiming to be that good, in fact, I fully expect a lot of people to shit on my recoil control. However, this is the end result of about 200-300 hours on aim train and 3k hours in Rust from a player who has never cheated or scripted in Rust, or any multiplayer game for that matter. I have had the satisfaction of seeing my recoil improvement over time translate to actually winning more gunfights. I'd encourage newer folks to keep practicing and to not get discouraged. Becoming better at something hard is really gratifying, and the Rust AK is arguably one of the hardest guns to get good at (in any game). As for the cheaters and scripters - I've pretty much given up on FP doing anything about it. As I sit on my rocking chair on the porch, yelling at kids to get off my lawn, I will say that the culture of gaming in this generation has changed. Cheating seems to not only be accepted, but bragged about, which makes me believe this problem will never go away. Rust is the perfect ecosystem for cheaters:
My advice to people is to not get hung up on cheaters and scripters. Ultimately they're going to bed at night knowing they're not that good at the game, so take control over what you can control: your own improvement. Then, you find out where they live and offline them. See you in Rust! [link] [comments]
