    What's your favorite type of Rust server?

    Hi guys, I'm new to Rust and this subreddit and wanted to see what type of server everyone likes playing in. I'm currently playing in a monthly wipe 2x vanilla server (BPs only wiped with facepunch), but the problem it's that it has max group size and I always get wrecked by squads. What do you guys prefer playing as far: squad size? gather & smelt rate? how often the server is wiped? blueprints wipe rate?

    My First Wipe Experience on Vanilla as a Solo

    I would just to like write my experiences on the first couple of days of starting on a Vanilla server as a solo. I've only played modded servers and this was my first wipe ever on Vanilla. I started about 10 days into a monthly vanilla server.

    First night I found a decayed base and got a little 2x2 down and researched some basic things. I never realized how long and how much wood was needed to smelt metal and sulfur.

    When I logged the following morning, I got offlined raided. Time to start over. I killed some nakeds in the snow and they were loaded with LGF and a bunch of farm. It seems like people on vanilla farm a lot more than on modded servers. I kept farming scrap to try and research some guns. Researched SAR and Garage door then built a bunker base and got offline. I was hoping no one was going to raid me.

    The third day I had some guns and was finally time to make some plays. Seems like everyone runs 3-5 deep on vanilla so it was harder to get weapons. I mustered up getting a couple of SARs in one day lol.. I met a neighbor and we ran military tunnels getting some loot and getting in a fight with a clan of Chinese players. We lost. I stayed up late and countered a 4 man doing military tunnels. Killed all of them grabbed the loot and dipped. To my surprise as soon as I left I got shot in the back and lost so much. I knew where the player lived and was going to offline him with the 2 C4 and some explo ammo I found in a decayed base the following morning.

    The fourth day is where things get weird. The Chinese zerg who lived right by the player were on when I logged off and on when I logged on. I had hate in my heart for this player so I decided to see if the zerg would talk to me and not counter raid me. I went for it. I ran up to their gate and said friendly friendly. They came out and with broken English said they wouldn't raid me and would offer to help me raid them.

    I started the raid and got through 3 doors and saw an armored door... I didn't have enough boom to get through it. The Chinese clan then flew to their base and gave me 8 rockets to finish the raid. I finished the raid and tried to give them the remaining rockets and launcher back. They declined. I offered them GP from the raid and they declined. They ran with me back to my base fighting a roof camping clan with an M29. I died on the trip. They grabbed all the loot and told me to come to their compound. They gave me everything back and more. They gave me 3 AK Sets and an inventory of guns. On top of this, they took down heli and even gave me all the heli loot as well....

    This was the nicest people I've ran into playing the game lol. Now I have more loot than ever and do not know what to do it with it lol.
