| Posted: 09 Apr 2021 09:10 PM PDT Today I downloaded the rust staging branch for the new textures beta and I noticed that my game would randomly freeze for 1 second and resume every 5 seconds or so. Eventually I closed it off and moved over to normal rust, it was still accursing, I also learned that it was making my mic lag out and freeze every time my game freezes. I have been playing rust for around a year and this hasn't happened once until now. I switched over to a different game and the game doesn't freeze but my mic still will lag out. | Posted: 09 Apr 2021 08:29 AM PDT Easy Anti Cheat bans ALOT. I know, but it's not banning enough, and it's not banning fast enough. Rust is a game that deserves and NEEDS fast acting anti-cheat. EAC takes far too long for most cheaters, but it's also not feasible for FP to hire active admins. Would community admins of trusted names, such as Camomo be too far out? Are there better anti-cheat(s) that Facepunch should explore? Because EAC sure as hell isn't enough right now. A cheater not getting banned before your base is gone is fucking devastating, and then when they finally do get banned two days later, you've lost all will to play and they just hop back on another account like nothing ever happened, and still have all your shit.
