    Picking softside stone protip

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 11:49 AM PDT

Most players know it takes 7 picks at ~11 minutes normally but only 5 picks and 8 minutes if you throw the picks!

This only works with standard t1 metal picks for some unknown reason, with spears/hatchets/knives/icepick if you throw them it takes even more time and tools.

Just a tip if you go deep or want to expand etc!

    Waterworld

With the new water level commands, it'd be easier than ever to set up a Waterworld server.

Suggestion: Have Cargo stop at the Harbors for a few minutes to make countering easier.

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 07:42 AM PDT

In it's current state it's very hard to counter Cargo, even with a duo holding the ship. Whomever has a heli is getting there first and likely keeping the ship. There's less action for everyone and one Cargo run puts a team very far ahead in the early game.

If it were to stop at the harbors, getting on the ship would be much easier. It would also encourage more building by the Harbors, as they're not as popular as some of the other monuments. This would also be more Solo friendly as it would be easier to sneak onto the ship while someone is fighting, and increase the odds of scavenging more gear, gear that would normally be lost in the water.

If this is paired with removing Cargo from the map, adding a warning sound for when the crates are being unlocked, or adding heavy scientists at the beginning, I think it would make the game friendlier toward smaller groups.

Solo player dilemma; the game isn’t bad, the way you’re choosing to play it is

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 05:07 AM PDT

The amount of people on the sub complaining that cctv cameras makes this game unplayable for solos is laughable. I play solo for most of my hours, very rarely duo, and there's a simple trick; play on group limited servers. That's literally it.

IF you're solo, and you CHOOSE to play vanilla servers, then come to reddit to complain about being outnumbered you're just dumb. Group limited servers are soooo much better, and even some of the modded servers are great. (Granted a lot of the them have paid kits which is a definitely something I can't play with, but there's still a good enough amount that don't.)

Thank you for coming to my ted talk

(Also nobody cares that you're switching to tarkov)

    In Orbit

Can we please, for the love of Rust, get timers on our map for Outpost/Bandit camp?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 07:16 AM PDT

For Outpost specifically, the only way to see how much time is until they're done hating us is to be inside of it... Which is very counter-intuitive.

On top of seeing some sort of timer on our map, it would actually be fantastic if the timer didn't reset completely if we ran into the area by accident.
