Posted: 19 Apr 2020 11:17 PM PDT To keep it short.... I have about 4500 hours in rust and have been playing since legacy and through every major update. (Just to show I'm not new) Would anyone else agree that barrels should strictly drop components and scrap. The blueprints and random items (shop front) that it does sometimes drop should be default blueprints. I don't understand why even bother make us learn these low level blueprints that are constantly going to be thrown out after finding it a million times. This would make getting barrels more enjoyable and rewarding. [link] [comments]

Posted: 19 Apr 2020 11:30 AM PDT I was bored so I made a list of most of Evil Wurst's base designs and scored them by their raid efficiency: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iYvYl9VuelAFWr7RWX3ktxuO0IunBygJEgt-GLUZoTA/edit?usp=sharing I was thinking of turning this into a full website where users can upload their own designs, complete with descriptions and instructions on how to build. I could even add a leaderboard of the most efficient bases. Is this something you think people would actually use? If so I could probably have the first version up and running by next wipe. Posted: 19 Apr 2020 08:32 PM PDT Does anyone have the funny video of a kid like screaming and then being killed with a rock coming straight down on his head? I know it was in a gameplay video i for the life of me cannot find it [link] [comments]
Bandit Camp gambling exploit/strategy: playing the long game. Posted: 19 Apr 2020 08:29 PM PDT This strategy has you betting the same amount of scrap on 3 and 5. This can be mathematically and practically proven. Mathematically proven: the chance of winning the bet is 40% because there are combined 10 slots you will win on (6 threes and 4 fives) out of the 25. So if we calculate the amount we win/lose for example 1 scrap on both 3 and 5 for a total of 2 this is what we get: 16% chance (slot 5) we loose 1 because we bet 1 on slot 3, gain 6 because we bet 1 on slot 5 for a net gain of 5. 24% chance (slot 5) we loose 1 because we bet 1 on slot 5, gain 4 because we bet 1 on slot 3 for a net gain of 3. 60% chance (slot 5) we loose 1 because we bet 1 on slot 3, we loose 1 because we bet 1 on slot 5 for a net loss of 2. Now we just multiply the net gain/loss with the % chance of this happening. 16*5 + 24*3 + 60*(-2) this turn into 80 + 72 - 120 = 32 So for every 100 times we bet on 3 and 5, we gain 32 more scrap than we loose on average over 200 scrap lost but 232 scrap gained. so for every 1000 scrap you loose you gain 1064. Now for the Practical test. I wanted to actually test this out in the game but every round of betting takes about 60 seconds in that time I could run over million simulations so I decided to write a java program to gamble for me. I ran 10 simulations in which I bet 1 scrap on 3 and 1 scrap on 5 each round I started with 1000 scrap and ended up with an average of 599712 Scrap after 1 Million spins for an average net positive of 598712. Right now it´s 5:30 am and I can barely think. I have been sitting at this for over two and a half hours and have 2 large assignments until tomorrow so I can´t continue this. Conclusion: Bet the same amount of scrap on 3 and 5. For every 1000 scrap you loose you will get about 1064 scrap back. So start small until you feel confident that this works. If this doesn´t work the casino is rigged. Java code package rust; int scrap = 1000; [link] [comments]
