Is a bolt action rifle good?

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 02:04 PM PDT

I recently got back into rust after getting a new pc, I found a bolt action rifle in an airdrop and when I told my friend about he said they were god awful and that I shouldn't research or use it, but when we went to large it made the heavy scientists 5 times easier and did decent damage against regular scientists, so is it actually bad? Also is the bolt action turret still OP? Thank you

    Is Rust still extremely grindy?

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 06:54 PM PDT

I haven't played Rust in probably 2 and a half years now, but I had over 1000 hours in the game. I love the game! However, I have uni now and my main hobby is music making and I'm not sure I have the time to properly enjoy this game. I'm asking because I'll need a new PC to run Rust so I can't just boot it up and try it.

How often do you get raided?

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 05:12 PM PDT

Serious question because I feel like I get raided way more than the avg player. I will say in my ~600 hours of gameplay I can only remember around 3 wipes where I did not get raided. I would say I get raided in 95%+ of my wipes. I just got raided for the 4th time, yes, 4th time in a row by day. Switched server 4 times in four days. Build a base, a good one too, bunkered with metal honeycomb. All 4 times got offlined after the first day of wipe. I've been onlined 1.5 times (half because I spawned in towards the end of the raid). For people that must know, no my bases don't suck. Building is actually my favorite part of rust so all my bases are at a minimum 23 rocket raid. I have spent probably 100hrs on build servers so I know how to build. I have spent that much time trying to perfect bases because of how often I get raided. I try to build far from clans and somewhere hidden/low traffic. Do I have the shittiest luck or is this normal? It sure as hell shouldn't be normal having to start fresh every day or every other day after putting in so many hours. I'm about to uninstall because I'm at my breaking point. It's like what's the point of the fucking game if you get raided the moment you get some gear and are ready to start roaming with guns. It's literally a curse, the moment I get a gun researched I will get raided the night I log iff. If this is normal they need to make raiding way more difficult to prevent this.

Please add how often you get raided if you had to guess.

10/10, would probably never do again

So, my team and I run a shop on the server we're playing at. Because it's running pretty well, we thought it might be a good idea to connect it to the road network, so people can come to our shop with the new cars.

So we got to work, gathered a few thousand wood and started building this monstrosity of a road. It's two foundations wide from the start at the road to the parking lot in front of the shop and split into two around half way up, since the building privilege didn't reach as far.

Upkeep for this monstrosity: 20k wood & 1k metal fragments per 24 hours
Time needed from start to finish (walking): ~90 seconds
Build time: probably around 2-3 hours overall

    Estimate road position
