| Posted: 18 Jul 2020 05:35 PM PDT Now, I have racked over 3300hrs in this game. That means I've seen multiple meta changes, but the current meta tops them all. Cloth farming literally makes any progression absolute. Larger groups make farm bases 2 hrs into wipe, racking extreme numbers of ~2500 scrap/hr. That yields them an infinite amount of metal frags, hqm and even gunpowder (recycling F1 nades). This creates a completely unlevel playing field and if one wants to catch up, they need to become a farmer as well. This isn't the point of the game. Farming should be a small addition that helps people self-sustain themselves and perhaps use the produce in trading. But instead it has become a widespread tactic to surpass progression and gain an insane edge over others. This should be looked into and fixed. Post your suggestions and opinions below. I had gotten everything I needed to get this bad boy going, with high-quality parts. So I spent a lot of time and effort into it. As I was driving to the outpost with my car on its maiden voyage It was sprayed down by ak fire from the roof of a base. It couldn't have been more than 4 guys. My fucking car exploded. From just bullets... I felt so mad. It wasn't fun. I know that rust isn't meant to be a fair game but this felt different. How can hours of work get canceled by a couple of AKs and regular ammo? | Posted: 18 Jul 2020 04:23 PM PDT Hi daily-frustrated-with-cheaters-rant coming in. The increase of cheaters on FP Officials over the last few months is just absurd and I think everyone can agree with that. Unfortunately I prefer FP Officials because of the monthly schedule and the fact that BPs are never wiped, so I can do what I enjoy a lot quicker as a solo player which I prefer. The influx of cheaters is really killing me though - I've been raided twice this wipe, both times I rebuilt and did not mind. Later finding out that both groups that raided me were banned for cheating (which wasn't obvious at the time; they both went for the shortest/easiest main loot route out of split loot, but I assumed it was just luck, and their PVP skills didn't raise any alarms for me). But the fact that someone can blatantly and openly (mocking and admitting cheats in-chat) can cause so much damage in a short amount of time before being banned is annoying. In FPs defense though, their F7 does work and sometimes I've seen bans go off in <10-15 minutes. I realize there are more cheaters in other games, but being wronged by a hacker is a lot harsher. You're losing a lot of time/progress (sometimes all progress up to that point in the wipe) in a moment because someone's cheating. A lot of people say that hey, if you wanna waste 20, 40 bucks on an edge to end up banned... eh, you can buy hijacked steam accounts for a few dollars. Today really showed me how much of an issue it all works out to be; an 8 man group was leveled by 2 blatant cheaters. Taunting them in chat; admitting to hacks, immediately doming everyone in their sight. They farmed for a couple days with "background" cheats, and blew into the groups booms, and literally just launched rockets into the sky/wasted the C4 on the sand, etc. The first guy was banned in about 15 mins, the 2nd was banned in about an hour. They immediately came back with fresh accounts and continued doing the same thing for a few more hours; now the server pop tanked and I mean... in terms of longevity, probably not a great thing for Rust as a whole.
