    So, I haven't played Rust in a while. Recently hoped back on, and I'm very new to all the Rust+ stuff. I'm currently in a server and tried to pair it with my phone, but it doesn't seem to be working. Any help? :(

    Imagine your a trio fully loaded but your all dog shit so you die to a solo. You come back expecting 90% of your gear to be there thinking there is no way a solo could have looted more than one body but to your surprise its all mostly gone. Any one can relate or had a solo loot most of your team mates bodys.

    Solar panels are too expensive and don't draw enough power.

    Solar panels are insanely expensive to craft at 25 HQ or 75 scrap to buy.

    For most of the Rust day they pull in 20 power each, a wind turbine usually pulls in on average 100+ power day and night. To get the equivalent with solar panels you're looking at 125 HQ or 375 scrap plus the cost and power loss of root combining all of them AND you get no power at night.

    Where as a wind turbine is 500 scrap to buy or 30 HQ, gears, sheet metal and wood to craft.

    I really do think solar panels need to cost less or produce more power, it just doesn't scale well compared to wind mills.

    Why not just buy a windmill you ask? Windmills draw attention, they're big and super noticeable to people flying over. It says you've got power and have progressed enough to be able to afford the HQ costs & worth of electricity. Solar panels are a lot more discrete and suit smaller bases.

    What do you guys think? I think keeping them as they are but lowering the cost to 50 scrap or 10 HQ would make them more viable as an alternative to wind mills. This would still be a 50 HQ cost just to put out the same amount of power, with the trade off being they don't work a night. Then you still have the battery, root combiners, switch & tool cost.
