    I like vanilla servers the best personally, but it can be fun to play on 1000x sometimes. I find that anything over 2x seems too easy. What do you prefer when you play?

    I liked the oil nerfs so it wasn't so easy to get geared 5 mins into the server but now that there are boats and cards just to do oil many players aren't doing oil or are only doing it a few times. That leads to the only pvp being t2 and it's way harder for bad players to get aks. I feel like the boat and oil nerfs also heavily nerfed snowballing and a lot of the fun pvp in the game. I'm only writing this because my duo and I snowballed t2 guns then went out to pvp and we came back with 3 rows of tommy's in 2 days but only 2 aks. I just miss when progression was slightly faster on vanilla. Not the comps of farming but at the process you get guns. Thanks for reading :)

    When I try to make a batch file it just says that my steamcmd file location for the rust server isn't recognized as an internal or external command if you need more details to answer plz let me know.

    I've recently gotten back into Rust. Before I only had about 150 hours (nothing compared to many of the sweats out there, I know). The more I play it, the more it makes me realize just how shitty people are deep down, and honestly, the only thing holding people back from being their truly shitty selves, is the fear of consequences for your actions from law enforcement.
    I've been insided and I've had people pretend to be friendly,only to stab me in the back as soon as I turn around.
    My main issue though is this. I see people constantly complaining nowadays about how "the rich get richer while the poor get poorer". Meanwhile, these same people get on Rust, pull out their MP5's or AK's, and use them to steal from people walking around in burlap while using stone tools. Its absolutely insane. What does that person REALLY have to gain from killing the naked using a rock on a tree with 20 cloth and 300 wood in his inventory?
    I think at the end of the day it comes down to power. People have little to no power in their real lives, so being able to get on a game and feel superior to others, feels good. Its just very interesting how that turns into killing and stealing from those much less fortunate than you.
    I'm sure some of you will say "thats just how the game is played", and shit maybe it is. But it doesnt have to be that way. We make that game the way it is. When I ask people about it, they all usually say the same thing: "Its what happened to me when I was naked". When i was insided recently, the guy tried to message me and apologize, and even told me "i know how it feels man, I've been insided before too". It makes you wonder. If you know how it feels, WHY DO IT TO OTHER PEOPLE THEN? Lmfao. But anywho. Ive ranted for long enough. Wanted to see what some of you thought though.

    Is it just me or does rust have the single most toxic player base known to human kind. I just spent and hour and a half server hopping and no matter what server I joined I wake up and get instantly killed. Yes I'm new to the game nut come on. There was less bullshit starting out on escape from Tarcov than there is on rust.

    Edit: Managed to get off the beach and found a body with a full kit and a M4. The Rust gods be praised.

    There should be a r/playrust small server for AU

    As the title suggests in my opinion there should be a small rust server for AU. Even if it is a Reddit server, Facepunch, or justified it would be nice to have that option as playing solo or duo on a large map gets annoying with unfortunate circumstances.
