Why is having randomized recoil such a bad thing? Posted: 23 Oct 2020 06:53 PM PDT I honestly don't understand why people are against it, it would fix the recoil scripting issue and make the game much easier for new players to pick up and it wouldn't force people to spend HOURS on aim train servers just to be competitive. I've uninstalled/reinstalled rust already, validated all game files, and I've even loaded rust on other computers (I have two others I use) and I get the same error. I got this error last night and have asked the admin to restart the server to see if that helped and it didn't. All my friends can get on the server just fine with no issues at all. Is it something I've done? Is it something server side that just effects me? I don't know what happened and I would really like any help I can get on this. Rust gunplay keeps away new players. Posted: 23 Oct 2020 05:07 AM PDT With the recent post about rusts current gunplay and meta I felt like I needed to share some thoughts. My brother is an avid fps gamer reached multiple seasons the highest rankings in cs:go, overwatch and now valorant. And he knows that I love to play rust and try and get him into rust aswell. But once he gets on rust and start to pvp or try out the guns on a custom map. It really doesn't feel right in anyway for him it is so different than any other fps he plays, feels like he loses all the gained skill it doesn't translate at all from other games. When summit streamed rust for a bit recently I could recognize the same what I experienced with my brother. Any other fps and you would at least be half decent at the Gun play (example Tarkov). It keeps the experienced fps players(and new players) from actually sticking to rust and enjoy it.
