    Bug Reporting Megathread - Stables Update

    Please help the developers by reporting any bugs, using the following points:

    You can report bugs in-game by pressing F7**.

    [BUG] Something game-breaking that shouldn't happen.

    [QoL] Quality of Life change that doesn't necessarily break the game, but would be nice to fix.

    Please try to include helpful evidence related to the bug, such as screenshots, videos, or GIFs.

    Describe how to recreate the bug, if you know how.

    If your bug has already been posted, upvote it and reply to it with your info.

    Post your system specifications if the bug seems to be hardware/graphics-related.

    If your gonna keep adding safe zones please heavily reduce the agro timer on safe monuments .

    A Solo player shouldn't have to go afk for half an hour just because he killed a scientist to close to a safe monument

    Please cool it with the safe zones. The turret ranges effectively make the entire surrounding area far from the actual safe zone a no zone if youre hostile. safe zones are antithetical to the spirit of rust

    Either my base was attacked by a god of gaming or this guy is a cheater. A couple times I got hit behind a wall, idk if thats a cheat or a glitch. Seemed almost unable to miss shots. Also he broke directly into my tc room. Without a cheat theres no way he'd know it was that square of a multi layered 3x10. Didn't even go through doors he went through the side. Just didn't make sense to me knowing the layout and how people normally raid. Wanted to call him out but also didn't want to be a bitch about it in case I'm wrong.

    Edit: Also if anyone is curious, no it wasn't a youtube build that they could have a seen and known where the tc was. It was all made up as we went along. Two auto turrets inside and this guy knew exactly where to bust in to avoid them and get behind the tc. Fucking fishy

    [Suggestion] Tow Truck Vehicle Module + make vehicles function as generator with a battery installed.

    this might encourage people to be more interested in using vehicles, and collecting vehicle modules.

    currently, you have to walk out to a broken spawned vehicle and slap some components in it and drive it back. fair enough, but having to do this for multiple vehicles to collect all the modules you want for your preferred setup is something a lot of players wont bother to do. this could increasingly be the case if/when FP decides to make vehicles spawn a lot less and have players buy chassis and modules for scrap at a new monument.

    i tried using a working vehicle to push a broken one. you cant, not even a little bit. its not just like a parking brake is on, its like ANCHORED to the terrain.

    when a player is in the driver seat of a broken vehicle, it seems like the vehicle is neutral, so maybe it could be pushed by another vehicle if you had a second player. i didnt have anyone to test this with.

    IDEA: add a tow truck module. players can drive their tow truck up and park next to a broken vehicle. they connect it up, which attach the vehicles together, with a rope or chain, and that puts the second vehicle in neutral. the player can then pull it home, and drop it off near the lift, and push it onto the lift by hand if needed.

    arma has a mod for vehicle towing, and its actually pretty fun to use, i think the feature could work well in rust

    make it so you cant tow a vehicle with a lock on it...but make some way to destroy the lock. locks should probably be on cockpits and not the chassis.

    advanced idea: the tow truck (or all vehicles) might also need a small battery, in order to operate the winch. (side note, i find it kind of weird we have obvious car batteries in the game, but they arent required to make cars work).

    the small battery on the tow truck would charge as long as the engine in running, effectively making the truck or other vehicles portable generators for small amounts of power (which is exactly how they should work) output could be something like 30 power, putting it between solar and small portable generator. whether its more fuel efficient than the generator might depend quality of parts. maybe add an alternator part which effects power output...i kind of feel like vehicles already require too many parts though.

    How/why do people play on servers where blueprints wipe often?

    I play with my brother and we couldn't imagine playing on a server where the blueprints wipe monthly or whatever. It takes us so long to get anywhere that having our blueprints wiped would just be a kick in the face.

    Why do people like it? Is this game full of massive clans where in 2 days you can have every blueprint in the game just from team work or what? Do people like starting fresh?

    Since the update to the newest release, I've had issues on my private server when riding horses. Cars are fine, and we haven't tried heli's yet, but horses get snapped back like lag. The system doesn't seemed pegged out, memory and CPU are within decent ranges (10% CPU, and like 10GB of memory used between multiple game servers.

    A quick scan on this subreddit didn't seem to yield any results, so I thought I'd ask. Anyone seeing this as well?
