    The addition of rain and farming

    With the new update to rust we were reintroduced to rain, one noticeable feature is that when a player is out in the rain, their character actually receives slight wetness. Some farmers and I from my server believe that it is only right that plants should receive slight watering if placed outside as well.

    TLDR: why rain no make plant wet?

    Twas the night before Rustmas, when all through your armored up house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse The stockings were hung by the camp fire with care, In hopes that St. Helk soon would be there;

    The team were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of raids danced in their heads; With the whole team in bed, with matching santa hats They all settled down for a long winter's nap,

    When outside the walls there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. Away to the shooting floor I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the hatch.

    The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below, When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature heli, and eight tiny raindeer.

    With a little old smile, I know, I could tell, I knew in a moment it must be St. Helk. More rapid than rihbs his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

    "Now, CHOPPER! now, SEWER! now, DOME and BANDIT! On, MILI! on OIL! on, BRADLEY and POWER! To the top of the roof! to the top of the walls! Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

    As quick as nakeds, during fights, grubbing loot they fly When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky, So up to the roof the coursers they went without help, With the sleigh full of loot, and the one and only St. Helk.

    And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The prancing and pawing of each little boot. As I drew in my hand, and was turning around, Down the ladder hatch St. Helk came with a bound.

    He was dressed all in burlap, from his head to his foot, And his gear was all tarnished with ashes and soot; A bundle of loot he had flung on his back, And he looked like a fresh spawn just opening his pack.

    His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like tactical lasers, his nose like red berrys! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;

    The stump of a hemp pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath; He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook, when he laughed like noobs arms when holding a semi

    He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself; A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

    He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk, And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the ladder hatch he rose;

    He sprang to his mini, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight, HAPPY RUSTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD FIGHT!

    1360 hours, only gotten one skin drop?

    Does anybody know if there's a reason that with 1367 hours in rust, I have only gotten one single skin drop? This is outrageous as I know of people with less hours who have gotten 20+ skin drops.

    An update to chinook crates at Airfield

    Here's a suggestion to make chinook crate drops at airfield, water treatment, etc. more fun.

    Right now, there's only 1 crate that unlocks after 15 minutes. Most people will camp the tower and people are scared to approach.

    What if there were 3 crates instead. Spread out across airfield. And they all unlock at the same time. This would give different groups a chance to get one crate and dip. Or teams would have to split up to defend all three, making it easier to counter. Now whoever controls tower can't just sit up there and wait for the crate to unlock. Put one in the hangers! Could be sick.

    At the very least, make it so there are multiple drop locations in each monument. Fighting right under the tower isn't fun. If you're the first one there you control it. Placing it in other spots will create entirely new gameplay.

    Just an idea. :)

    Naked NPCs?

    Our server last night started having naked NPC instead of the halloween mobs. Didnt add any new mods, and am not using the BotSpawn mod. Anyone have any suggestions?

    (BUG) Chat won't work! :(

    One day I disabled my chat via the in-game option menu.

    When I went to enable it, the server chat won't work anymore.

    I tried enabling it with the console command.

    I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game completely.

    My server chat still does not work at all.

    Team chat still works.

    LandLord a new unique game mode of Rust

    The landlord is a modification for the original game

    Hi everyone.

    I've just released a new game mod for Rust. I believe it can be quite fun and playable.

    The only goal is to take control of the entire map cell by cell

    There are simple rules:

    • To capture a map cell build "Large banner on Pole"
    • Each captured map cell increases your gather rate by 3%
    • If someone destroys your "Large banner on Pole" your gather rate decreases and you lose control of a map cell
    • The one map cell the one "Large banner on Pole"

    It's Oxide\Umod plugin. It's still under review, but it will available soon. I will keep you posted.

    Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas with me!

    P.S. the project repo is here https://github.com/bravoavo/LandLord and you can try it right now. Work in progress so I expect a lot of bugs. It's raw but if the community interested it will evolve.
