Posted: 02 Feb 2021 08:06 PM PST I just started back into rust after a year or so away, and I must say the addition of the tech tree is excellent. Playing as solo it can be very frustrating to have to search and search for that one thing you need, metal tools, ladders, weapon lights, etc. But the ability to make tangible progress towards those items every day is a game changer. It makes the grind much more enjoyable, because even bringing just 50 scrap back to base now feels like progress. I love it. [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Feb 2021 03:36 PM PST I crunched some numbers, and let's say it has the following mechanics:
This idea will add quite a fun fighting ground to a massively underrated monument, that Facepunch put a lot of love in. Some nice PVE content, and potentially some great PVP grounds. You can vote on this idea up on nolt.io so Facepunch can see itOriginal credit goes to Emeraldlizard7777777[link] [comments]
[Suggestion] Animals should roam evenly on entire map, not just East Posted: 02 Feb 2021 10:24 AM PST Vote on this bugfix on Official Facepunch nolt.ioRight now, because of the roaming AI of animals, MOST animals on a server migrate naturally to the East side of the map. Everyone knows of this. If you base to the East, you will get a ton of animals, while the people in the center of the map or the west will barely find any animals. This needs to be fixed. why does my characters hands shake so much when aiming? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 09:35 PM PST does the constant violence and radiation give us early onset Parkinson's or something? [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Feb 2021 10:22 PM PST I just wanted to thank the devs for making the best game I have ever played hands down. I've got 3k+ hours on many games and only 300 on rust but my God what a game. It has everything I've ever wanted right down to the electricity. I remember playing 7 days to die and wanting better building and pvp. Rust is the whole package and I'm sad I didn't buy it sooner. As a returning player, this is the best state Rust has ever been Posted: 02 Feb 2021 01:48 PM PST I've been playing Rust since around 2016, so I don't know so much about Legacy, but what I can say is that Rust has never felt this fun, interesting, and well-balanced. The community is still as toxic as ever, but for the first time I'm able to actually have fun even on official servers. I know, I'm not a sweaty AK Chad, but the combat feels much more satisfying now that the "microfreeze every few shots" issue has been fixed. Rust is infuriating but it's for the right reasons because of the big technical (and performance!) steps the devs have made. Also, the sense of community feels much better than it did when I last played heavily, around March 2019. I can talk with my neighbors and actually cooperate with people outside of my Discord in a way that just didn't feel as present back then, maybe because of the influx of new players, or a greater number of non-cancerous servers (r/playrust small gang?). It would still be really cool to see some changes like an expanded early-to-mid game, or changes to scrap to make soloing more viable. I also wish there were a better way to play without teams, because having to jump check every five minutes made Rust feel way more raw-- I see why there was so much pushback on that change, looking back. Also, vehicles are cancerously bad and there's just no reason to use them. Still though, Rust is in a great state, despite what some people seem to think. I guess this is an appreciation post for the devs who do great work for people who spent $20 on an outlet for our collective autism. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE [link] [comments]
