    With the recent updates and seemingly unbanable cheaters the game is in an awful state atm.

    The new wounded mechanic is awful. Going deep on a base isn't really a thing anymore since crawlers can close doors and it takes 2 or 3 shots to finish them. Not to mention makes looting infinitely harder if you're solo and kill one or two members of a group. Also good luck ever killing a roof camper and getting his loot ever again. Why is this even in the game? No one asked for this.

    The visual indicator that turn your screen in to a kaleidoscope of piss yellow and red depending on if your too hot or cold or bleeding is awful. We already have a message that tells you this by your health bar. Again everyone hates this, no one asked for it.

    The animals update. Holy. It wouldn't even be that bad if it wasn't coupled with broken ai and the cancer that is night time in rust. Have fun running anywhere at night only to have glitched out afk bear or pig suddenly murder that when you can't even see it. Bears are essentially unkillable is you're solo prim, yet the only players hunting bears are by and large prim so what's the point?

    The hdrp and recent monument additions have ruined map layouts. Past 50m nothing but trees render making it look like you're playing a barren server. There are no forests anymore. Rocks are still unclimbable. Every map is littered with tons of islands that serve no purpose and the addition of all the barns and other junk monuments means that all the good ones are just pushed closer together making for a cluster fuck of a map.

    I can appreciate the work that goes in to a lot of these updates but for fucks sake we still don't even have a half decent server browser in the game.

    I just named a few of the recent things off the top of my head that are universally hated by the player base. But there's so many more (hello weather update and the hours of rain and fog that occur) I could literally go on for hours. But far and away the biggest beating of all are the INSANE amount of hackers in the game right now. Idk how much Facepunch pays EAC but they're getting fleeced. Can't even tell you how many times recently I've reported players and included a streamable link with evidence only to never see a message saying they've been banned. And I'm talking about the kids Yolo cheating making it obvious af with out a care that their level one account gets banned. Esp has become a huuuuge issue in the game. Go ask any big streamer right if they've ever seen it this bad with cheaters and they'll tell you the same thing.

    I still love the game. Still grind it several days a week as I approach 5k hours but Holy hell has it become a become a beating to play recently.

    It's going really well and i really like rust, i met nice persons within a few days and my best enemies are just dead as deserved.

    It took me a couple year from the buy to the play. This game is impressive enough to make anyone hesitate getting into it, and it is indeed a complex game.

    But with my 4 days experience (so far) I've had good times, like wining a counter raid or wining my (second try) raid.

    Now i have a lot of time available to sink. And i am glad that i finally took a step ahead and tried getting into Rust.

    Cheers for reading, please share how you got into Rust. Any upvote will be scrapped.

    Suggestion: Gain hydration by looking up and opening your mouth while Raining or Snowing

    My idea is that while its Precipitating that you can use a button or an emote that opens your mouth and you can drink rain or snow falling to gain 5-25 hydration.

    Because you can become wet when raining or snowing, it only makes sense that you could drink the wet stuff falling and gain some easy hydration.

    So I've been playing rust for quite a few years and i know that you use to be able to do the gamma trick to see in the dark but they fixed that, so how the fuck do i keep getting tripled in the dark by full fucking metals or full wood armor people with guns in the pitch black dark

    I have 4K hours and I just can't seem to make a play to get a gun. I played all day on rusty moose med and the only guns I got was a water pipe and a pumpie. Does anyone have any suggestions?
