    You wake up fill your TC, leave for work. Rust+ alerts you of an offline happening to your base or just check occasionally by logging in, you pull out your handy steam deck and defend the attempted offline raid. However I've tried out rust on console and the controls are pretty challenging, plus loading in might be a bit long.

    RUST FPS PROBLEM

    I've spent a decent amount on a gaming rig and feel that I am not getting the most fps out of my rig.

    My spec:

    • CPU: i9-10850K 3600 MHZ (OC 4900 --> Current clock)
    • GPU: RTX 3070 (1845 Current Clock)
    • Motherboard: Z590I AORUS Ultra
    • 32 GB Ram (16x2)
    • SSD EVO 970

    I like to play a game called Rust (Yes, I know its poorly optimized and cpu intensive) and I've noticed that people with worse CPUs are running the game at higher frame rates. Now, when in game, i usually get around 110 FPS, which isn't bad (Custom settings for PVP/FPS). When I get into large fights (we call them roams), my fps drops to 60-70 and there is noticeable tearing on my 144hz monitor. My friend who has a worse cpu and same GPU has around 140 fps ingame and 100-120 during pvp fights. What can I do with my computer/gpu/cpu settings and what can I do to improve my cpu to get maximum fps.
