    Facepunch please, every time I've returned to the game and started my addiction again it is because of YouTube content creators. I stumble upon one of their videos, watch it, get the bug and return. The videos are edited to show how cool the gameloop is in a bite-size clip (which is hard with streams).

    OTV streamers literally make the game look terrible. Stop promoting these guys. The community hates OTV.

    Let's get so more love to guys like Willjum, Stevie, EvilWurst, Spoonkid, aloneintokyo, PrinceVidz, etc.. that create the best advertisements you could ask for. Some of these guys stream so we could give them Twitch Drops (again). Every returning Rust player goes around and tells his friends to buy the game. I know I've bought a shitload of skins since returning.

    Your YouTube content creators are the marketing team you need to be supporting, not these cringelords from OTV.

    So are we ever getting thick forests back?

    You know, I never realized how barren the new map generation has been since watching old clips and such. Not only were massive, taller mountains more frequent, forests were dense and you could hide your solo base in it for an entire wipe.

    The mountains are all smooth now. They're glorified hills with no sharpness to them, maybe because they rely too much on the platou ground assets?

    Generally I love the addition of the new environment pieces, from foliage to the new rocks and desert. But, the generation has made the game feel less like an actual wilderness and more like a great tundra with fuck all in it.

    How do I find people to play with that are trust worthy?

    I purchased Rust a little over a month ago and I have about 140 hours. Mainly played on trio and softcore servers until now. Long story short I am hopelessly addicted to this game, more so than any of my friends which is a real bummer because now I'm playing solo. I enjoy it but I need at least a buddy or two so I don't feel the odds are completely stacked against me.

    If I say went onto the discord for a server would I be able to find people there? Is there anything stopping people from betraying me besides not playing with them next wipe?

    I haven't been this addicted to a game since WoW when I was 13. That was 15 years ago so while I'm losing sleep over the game, I'm enjoying it every minute.

    Out of 40 hours of stream time, he did only 5 hours of Rust, and seemingly isn't interested in playing whatsoever. On one of his streams intentionally or not, he did just 1 hour of Rust to lure people in and left to play something else.

    It's about time to stop giving him too much credit and move his drop to other general drops, until it's too late.

    xQc streamed more rust when he DIDN'T had a personal skin.. He only streamed 5 hours of rust so far.. Stop giving drops to people who don't play the game.

    I have to explain this paradox thing that displays in the Rust Community everytime.

    So i see these Concept Limbos and stuff people post hete that they want in Rust.

    One Example:

    Offline Raiding. Thousands of people seem to dislike being offline Raided. But communities where offline raiding is forbidden are so low pop that serverowners give up on their servers after some time.

    Water Bases There are servers that have this with an awesome plugin and people ignore it. The posts in here get thousands of likes.

    And so much more stuff that serverowners have managed to regulate or to mod on their servers but they are low pop. And people dont even care to just stay on the server and help it getting populated… no they just leave and play on the regular 2x stevious servers or other big established standard rust servers.

    Why do you guys think people ignore these great modded servers and tend to just populate the 1000. 2x server and complain more about all the stuff that is vanilla … ?

    HELP - Barely any servers are showing up in my game!

    Im trying to get back into rust as either a solo or in a small group. The problem is ALL the servers that someone will mention to me that they say is good for practice or is just a good server to join in general, dont show up on the list for me. Ill try using keywords, ill turn filters on and off like full/empty, ill wait a good bit to see if any more servers will load, etc... NOTHING is working. Im living in Canada and it seems that theres a TON of Canadian servers, so it seems that the majority of the servers I am seeing are ones that are either only in Canada or are very close to it like maybe new york or something.

    Does anybody know how I can fix this? Ive tried deleting some files, re-validating the game files, im about to try uninstalling completely and reinstalling but im afraid even that might not work. Someone once mentioned to me something about the older beta versions, but I dont even see beta versions anymore so im not sure if that has something to do with it or not. Can somebody please help me? All I want to do is to try and find a good solo server to play on but I cant because theyre all either DAYS old or have extremely low populations because, guess what, I can barely see ANY servers.

    Will a 1050ti and a intel 11400 be enough to run Rust at 60+ FPS at medium settings.

    Actually I am thinking about getting a new pc and I just wanna make sure that I can run Rust at 60+ FPS at medium settings. The specs will be core i5 11400, gtx 1050ti and 16 gigs of RAM. I would have got the gtx 1650 but the GPU prices are pretty bad.
