- I hate this game so god damn much
- #1 Reason why I play rust: Every wipe I build a base on a populated server (now it’s rusty moose monthly). And craft 500+ bear traps and 1k+ landmines. I sit on top of my base and listen as little kids blow up. They beg for their stuff back. And as they are running back to get it they die again. ☺️

New to the game only 2 experienced players Posted: 12 Sep 2021 07:34 PM PDT Hello rust community, my friends and I are looking for a server for some intermediate and some new players. We have a 7 man team but usually only 5 are on consistently. Wondering if anyone knows any good servers to play of for starting out but also is active. Not looking for anything with 250+ players because we're trying to learn. Currently playing on rustoria long and we just don't believe the whole teams skill level is good enough for a server like that. Thanks for the help! [link] [comments]

Struggling to stay over 60 fps at 1440p with an RTX 3070. Posted: 12 Sep 2021 10:44 PM PDT Hello, I recently got a 1440p monitor but trying it out I now struggle to stay over 60 fps dropping to 45-50 near outpost and bandit camp and further to 35-40 by swamps/abandoned cabins. My specs are: Aorus RTX 3070 GPU Ryzen 7 3700X CPU 16gb DDR4 RAM at 3200mhz Even when I turned the settings down to medium quality and settings, the fps barely improved. Here's what I've tried so far to remedy:
And I've checked during the terrible fps near the aforementioned monuments I get 96-98% GPU utilization. Is the RTX 3070 really that bad of a card it can't run a 8 year old game at 1440p? Or is there maybe something I should try to remedy the performance issue. [link] [comments]
What update did they introduce screen changing when too cold/hot or low health? Posted: 12 Sep 2021 10:11 PM PDT I took a break just after the graphical update. The game looked amazing and I was really impressed with the whole update. But now on returning the game looks quite frankly like shit, really dulled down and muted colours. Not to mention the screen changing when I'm too cold to the point of I can hardly see a thing. Who thought that would be a good idea?! I've looked through the update blogs and I can't see where it is mentioned. [link] [comments]
Singleplayer Tutorial "Suggestion" Posted: 12 Sep 2021 09:33 PM PDT Hello, I rathar thought about a suggestion that might come in handy. What do you think about on some sort of "Singleplayer tutorial" for newbies? I almost have 4-5k hours in the game and I find it hard to teach new people the fundmentals of the game. Im not saying the tutorial needs to includ advanced things, but it needs to include the fundmentals at least like "How to loot properly" "The importance of doors" How to gather wood that kind of shit you know the basics of basics Every game has a tutorial for new players, why wouldn't us have one? I always have a friend who loves to start playing rust and its really hard teaching him in one session since after that the give it up because the think the game is too complicated. I think a tutorial will do good to the game there is no harm to a game that is absloultely non-noobie friendly be a littile bit more friendly by at least teaching them the basics of the game. I know this game adds more features and more stuff to do but the core of the game never changes so pharahps facepunch should make a littile bit of "singleplayer tutorial" for newbies in non-hostile enviorment like lets say the tutorial will launch you in a small map with only NPC's and the game will tell you what to do in order to complete it. Share you thoughts, and if u think Facepunch should do something about it, comment and maybe we will have enough voices to be heared. [link] [comments]
