How to get stuck in a furnace (I managed to get stuck in a furnace pt. 2)

    Posted: 14 Oct 2019 05:25 PM PDT

Only works on modded with the tp command

    Harder version:

    1. Have a person get shoved into the corner of a wall where there is a furnace in both sides
    2. TP to the person being shoved into the wall
    3. Now you are officially in a furnace, where you can't be shot unless you are standing but can shoot others through the furnace

Easy version (requires the ability to set homes) :

    1. Set a home
    2. Place furnace where you set your home
    3. Tp to your home
    4. Now you are in the furnace

My friend is going to buy rust

    Posted: 14 Oct 2019 12:04 PM PDT

And I want to help him out, give him some tips to help him out. The problem is, I don't really know where to start explaining. There are so many things to learn in rust, that I don't know where to even begin. Can you guys help me out by giving me some very early beginner tips?

FFS Facepunch please fix the Outpost aggro BS!

    Posted: 14 Oct 2019 11:09 AM PDT

Here I am finishing up a massive sulfur run and head to outpost to refill my jackhammer to get that last little bit before heading home. A square and a half away a bear jumps at me from behind a rock. I hit it with my AK then farm it up then continue on my way to outpost.

    NOPE

Outpost decided that was a no no and took me out leaving my body right out in the open for anyone to take.

18K sulfur down the damned drain.

I’m banned from driving from now on. I think that’s fair. (They were AFK)

How do you pick who to raid? How do you pick who not to raid?

    Posted: 14 Oct 2019 07:21 PM PDT

Im always curious what indicators people use to decide ultimately whether they raid or not.

Are you more likely to raid a stone 2x1 tucked between some rocks, or would you rather raid a blatant Zerg, or even a roleplayers house? Are you more likely to raid a metal base than a stone one? Are you a gentleman that online raids or do you always raid in secret? Do you only raid neighbors, or people who give you trouble, or do you just raid anybody indescriminately?

What targets would you leave alone completely and which ones would really make you want to raid?

As a solo, I try to pick small/medium targets (bigger than 1x2s, no zerg bases) - this way I can clean out quickly and get lost. I'm more likely to raid sheet, then armored, then stone. I usually leave wooden bases alone. I prefer bases with obvious indicators of activity like crops, or if the base changes often, or some other indicator. I try not to raid my neighbors (and generally try to at least agree to some amount of cordiality, whether that means warning shots or a full alliance) so the neighborhood doesn't get shitty. I prefer people who have bad attitudes, and I'll only online raid if I know someones solo or if the group is known to be gentlemanly. Doors don't matter, and electricity only deters me if it's an intense setup.

Of course I don't always follow these rules, but generally. I appreciate your participation in advance.

Bonus round: how do you carry out a raid? Attitude, play style, weapons, etc

Will devs fix Cursed Cauldron exploit?

    Posted: 14 Oct 2019 03:41 PM PDT

I've got 8 cauldrons sitting in my inventory wondering if I should sell them now at their peak or wait...?

Do you think devs will fix it or leave it be?

    Comfort no longer regen's health?

    Posted: 14 Oct 2019 07:17 PM PDT

On an official server, having 100% comfort no longer regenerates my health when I have enough food and water. Was this nerfed or is this a bug?

    Cursed Copter

    Posted: 14 Oct 2019 01:57 PM PDT

Falling from extreme heights rarely does more than 50 damage

    Posted: 14 Oct 2019 06:31 PM PDT

Not sure what it is but i figured this out after building a tower to max stability and jumping off the top of it. I would hit the ground and take around 20-30 damage. I figured out if you jump off instead of just walking off an edge you take way more damage usually killing you.

Can turrets shoot over low walls?

    Posted: 14 Oct 2019 05:45 PM PDT

Trying to block a turret from being rocketed in a specific scenario with a low wall but can they shoot people over that wall?

The low wall blocks the laser beam.

Can we get a fix for the Cauldron exploit

    Posted: 14 Oct 2019 08:36 PM PDT

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fARq1--seI&feature=youtu.be&t=22 These types of bunkers that can never be open are unfair and just noncompetitive. Should not be allowed in this type of pvp game. So little cost to make compared to protection. Sharing this so it can get fixed fast
