    So, i did a similar post last month before forced, but that did nothing despite it hitting the front page of the sub, so im doing it again.

    The chinnook dropping at monuments was great, there was always fun pvp there even if the server was low pop.

    Nowadays most of the pvp in on sea only, and the oilrig pvp is getting stale now.

    Making the crate drop on land will make people roam more and also bring a motivation of building inland again, instead of just building at the coast close to oil rigs.

    Please tell me what you think. =)

    Rust lagging out but internet is fine.

    My game will lag out and i can move around free of any type of anti hack. I have just fine connection to discord and everything else and this doesnt happen on any other game. Its not related to my rig lagging out(I have a 3800x and the game on a WD NVMe ssd) and my internet is fine(550 down, 300 up) Ive tried unrestricting any firewall to rust, as well as reinstalling and verifying integrity. Nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.

    Concept: Seismometer Gate

    Hey, so here's the concept. It's a little doohicky that you place can place on walls / foundations / floors, and while it has power running to it, it measures any "shaking" that's going on throughout your entire base. The shaking would be caused of course, by explosives. This gate would allow passthrough of power if it detects any shaking of any object connected to the wall or foundation or floor that it's placed on. This would be a way to trigger an electrical system when a base is being raided. You'd also have a "force off" input on the side of this component so that you could make it a timed component with timers and what not.

    So, with this component you could set it up so that when your base is being raided, power is diverted from quality of life things like lights and such, to anti-raid devices like tesla coils hooked up to a generator (Which is less prone to being taken out than exterior power generation techniques).

    Simple Poll Asking If You Would Support A Day to Tier Released Tweak.

    1. TLDR: Allow for longer primitive fights, server longevity and a chance for all depending on primitive pvp skill
    2. (Day 1) Harder for the bigger groups to snowball as their is no fully automatic weapons available, we would however still have REVY, DOUBLE BARREL and satchel's for those who still want to raid. A good crossy player would be able to kill the revy in quite a few scenarios. THis would also see a use of the riot helmet and bucket helmet which is forever neglected. Also lower defensive armor means easier for ambushes of small groups on the big boys.
    3. From my time playing (3.8k) the *small groups* never seem to kit up as much when roaming anyway so i dont see it nerfing them much if at all.
    4. On day one and 2 crates that would have a physical weapon in them above tier 1/2 could be a BP that you could learn. ( I would suggest Tier 2 weapons have the BP cut in 1/2 so you need to both halves to make a full bp to learn ) This suggestion would also lessen the scrap grind. (Lets to be honest zergs will always have enough scrap for their team, we may aswell make it easier for small groups to gain access to weapons) Tier 3 weapons would need 3 pieces to complete the item. This way we are not saying you cant have the weapon until its released you just cant craft it until the tier is unlocked.

    End game is finished by lunch time on wipe day.

    RIP primitive servers

    It's the only way I like to play the game personally. It's a shame that the only ones still around generally have less than 2 people at a time. Why do so many people dislike primitive?

    Anyway, the most active primitive server in recent times is shutting down now. What a shame.

    For Electricians, are they planning to rework batteries soon?

    I found posts a year old pointing this out, how it doesn't make sense for a large battery to drain when ONLY hooked up to a blocker that isn't blocked. Does anyone know if this is being addressed at some point?

    The most common suggested fix I've seen is to make it so batteries have a 'capacity' like they do in real life, and only draw what they need.
    Say a small battery has 100 charge. If it is hooked up to one light, it will consume 2 per second (batt. timer will say 50 seconds), add another light, 4 per second (timer will say 25), etc.

    I'm sure you've run into frustrating situations regarding this. For example, the new turrets in caves aren't efficient. Where if the above system is in place, you could only turn the turrets on when a hbhf sensor detects a player. Saving battery power immensely and justifying using a generator to fill up the battery.

    Facepunch chips away at every feature/content they implement until it becomes a chore.

    Honestly i feel sick to my stomach when i post on this subreddit, especially if its criticism. Uninvested players will dismiss any valid criticism, devs will mock you, and the few in the thread that get it, will be downvoted to oblivion. But here goes.
    Everytime Facepunch puts something in the game, they dont consider it complete until it becomes a chore to use. They will tweak it before and after the release to make it barely useful, cause chores are more important that putting in fun things.
    Electricity is needlessly complicated and awkward(this is coming from someone who is the clan`s designated electrician), balloons are now useless cause aparently its more important they be realistic, no one uses the excavator(even with the increase no one will), cars wont get a third person camera and will be a nauseating chore to drive on the bad terrain and will become useless after the initial interest at launch.

    Not to mention the chore that is upkeep. Not only do you have to sustain yourself during gameplay, you need to do it during off hours as well by grinding harder when youre supposed to have fun. In the era where games are becoming chores(collect this much shit, kill this many enemies, etc...) Facepunch is creating more things for you to do, and more failure states if you dont do them. More things to put in your boxes, more types of resources to farm, more things you need to be good at otherwise your other chores are pointless, layers upon layers of chores all designed to give you a "sense of pride and accomplishment" until the server wipes and you need to start your chores all over, most of the time with the same result.
    Dont get me wrong, having more FUN things to do in a game is good, having more CHORES is where theres a problem. Should i even mention how shitty it is to lock the actual FUN stuff behind a paywall ?(instruments, deployables, etc). I wonder if this community would be ok with them putting in a special gun you can only buy on Halloween, like its ok with deployables you can only buy on Halloween/Christmas. It seems that the only things we charge for are roleplayer type things, cause fuck those guys that refuse to do our chores. They gotta pay more for actual fun.
    Oh hey Facepunch. Remember the building system ? The thing thats basically half the game ? No one would give a shit about Rust if it didnt have building. It would have been abandoned years ago like all those DAYZs and PUBGs. Yeah, that thing that you havent bothered adding anything to in years, and which you find a way to gimp every year. BANG ! no half blocks. BANG ! no pillars. BANG ! upkeep. BANG ! no double walls restriction that also restricts things it shouldnt. Is it even worth reminding you about the concept art that showed wallpapers, rounded building edges, additions to walls, more tiers, wall traps, visual decay of building pieces, more things to put in the frames, triangle ladder hatch that gets suggested every 6 months, improving that shitty stability system, etc...? Nah, its fine, we need more boats and guns. The neglect of the fun mechanic that is building is truly insane in this game, where you cant make progress without building...But i guess creating chores is more important that giving players flexibility in creating their perfect apocalyptic stronghold...which might be fun. I think FP wants to be done with this game, and it has been wanting that for a while now. Cause its been showing in their decisions for the past few years.
    Looking forward to having devs pop in here and throw a refund in my face and a "its not finished" after having left Early Access, like the mature people they proved they are, or the all time favorite "maybe you should stop playing". Cause "if you dont like it, git out !" is taken.

    One Elite Crate for Tier 2 monuments (Airfield, water treatment ...)
