An extreme feeling of Vengeance and Rage Posted: 31 Dec 2019 02:56 PM PST People get mad. It happens. However, I had a rather intense feeling of evil last night while playing Rust. I usually don't get mad over this type of stuff, but I had something truly shitty happen to me. Basically, I had a nice bunker base for a solo that I had been working on and refining for a few weeks. I play on a month long server, and as many of you know, this is the last couple of days. Basically, this new neighbor showed up two days ago. I was super friendly with the dude. However, things quickly turned sour. He was at my front door, and I had a full kit and he was naked. He said he needed some scrap. So I got about 100 and went outside. It was fine. I dropped the scrap. However, his friend was on their roof, and bolted me out of existence. After this incident, the sparks of the fire were coming about. I played nice still. I went to his base and said that I forgave him and that I would still not kill him unless fired upon first. They called me a N***** and then killed me again. Now I am a pretty young dude. I am still in high school (junior), but I could tell that this dude was a little squeaker. Despite my good intentions, he killed me over and over again. I had finally had enough. So, I trapped him and his buddy in my airlock and burned them to death with a flamethrower. I did it slowly as to piss him off. I got about 5 SAR kits from this as he was stacked upon entering my base. He was super pissed. He was so pissed that he kept calling me a n***** and said that I betrayed his trust (what a hypocrite). But I was feeling fine and decided to bunker up and call it a day. I slept for about 4 hours and woke up to find my base griefed. Sure enough, my buddy tells me that this duo got a Zerg to offline me right when I got off. This is not what made me mad. Raiding is apart of this game. However, what happened next was what pushed me over the edge. I began to made a new bunker a fair ways away from my last base. Somehow, these dudes knew that I was back on and they foundation wiped my 2x1s that I kept putting up to start off my bases. After about 10 bases raided, I was so mad that I felt an intense heat in my chest, an adrenaline kick, and an intense lust for revenge. Never had I ever felt this evil. Like actually it was astounding how I felt. I wish I could end this with a story of vengeance, but this is Rust. Not everything is a YouTuber story where there is a happy ending. I have farmed enough sulpher to raid their bunker tonight, and I will update y'all on how it is going. I don't even want the loot, and I plan on splitting the loot among the new Christmas noobs on the server in order to pay it forward. Wish me luck guys. Have any of y'all ever felt this feeling before? I truly had never felt something so deep and angering before. I am usually a super chill dude. [link] [comments]

This game helped my life in a way Posted: 31 Dec 2019 12:53 PM PST so two days into this game and its amazing, though im very frustrated as a solo. just logged on to find my nothing.. i had a secret house out in the middle of the dense forest and didnt chop the trees down. its super hidden. far away from everyone great for farming materials and getting built up without much to worry about. i had over 10k metal fragments and about 10k stone and wood as well. i had like 10 nail guns made and all sorts of goodies i wanted to research, i was struggling findng scrap though because i was far from the roads or any hot spots. so i built a research table new tool chest, etc prebuilding some stuff for the move so i could get there and build my house and slowy run some stuff over through the night, well last night i heard people running by my house and they heard my furnace going and they stopped. i also had about 100 hemp plants growing with wood spikes all around my property with certain patterns and paths to go through without gettting damaged, any who they started asking me to come out. me being dumb did i stripped down first and just took my shotty with 3 bullets with me so i wouldnt care to die. i close my airlock and had the jump on both of them i told them to go i even offered for them 35 scrap to just go.. shouldnt have. they shot me and killed me. whatever. but now they start burning the spikes and eventually burned out a piece of wood floor i didnt realize i never upgraded. they got in and killed me. so i logged off and decided not to fight. it was a learning lesson. just kill them next time. ive encountered this situation many times already in the game where im too eager to be friendly and i just get fucked over for it. and i realized thats how i am in real life. it happens all the time. its not because i want people to like me or anything. i just really like to make others happy cause if they are happy then they annoy me less lol. but its made me really look into this character trait i have and know now that i have to not be so open with people right out the gate. in the game you have to question why someone asks you if your by yourself, you gotta say no my crew is in that big fort over at r13 or whatever to make them scared to start a gun fight. you have to travel naked if you dont want to stick out like a sore thumb. i am now carrying these little defensive things into real life conversations and its something everyone should just do. ive noticed most people are like this and it used to bother me, where they wont even discuss politics or anything really, their still friendly and nice just very decisive on what information they want others to know about themselves, that never really clicked in my head as to why people do that until i played rust. letting others know everything about you right out of the gate is a bad thing to do. also you can really only trust a select few people in this world. i know all of this is super random lol just thought id share this change up of a post [link] [comments]

Top of dome should have a sam turret or put the military crates inside the dome instead of on top. Posted: 31 Dec 2019 11:31 AM PST The whole point of the 4 crates at the top of dome is to parkour to the top of it right? So why should someone be able to fly a heli up to the spot everytime it respawns and take the crates? I am not saying flying up there is hard or easy just saying it was originally put up there when mini copters and scrap heli weren't in game. [link] [comments]
Howdy /r/PlayRust, I'm getting into electricity and I'm having a bit of trouble... Posted: 31 Dec 2019 08:48 PM PST Here's the circuit as I have it now I want to run a setup with 9 turrets, ten lights, one string of colored lights, 3 battery backups that charge when not in use, and potentially some low grade generators to keep the turrets up, as I live in the desert and low grade is usually never an issue. I've seen builds have similar setups, but to be honest all the stuff with blockers and electrical branches really confuses me, and I was wondering if any veteran Rust Electricians could give me a helping hand. Here's the Pastebin of all the files in Rustrician if anyone wants to take a stab at it I really really appreciate the help :) [link] [comments]

Why does everyone leave the rust server when its nearing to wipe? Posted: 31 Dec 2019 02:43 PM PST I have been playing on this server that wipes every week on thursday and i have been doing pretty good in it, it was packed with so much people like 300 the server was full Then i logged in on like saturday and it was only 60 people on it, the area was so quiet that most peoples bases deteriorated and all the doors broke and i just went in and broke the loot, and i found loads of high level players sleeping with aks, c4 rockets and everything and i took all their stuff and put it in ny base thinking i was great But there is literally nobody left, its like people only join at the beginning of the wipe and leave towards the end Does this happen on most servers? I kind of feel like i wasted my time grinding now for a dead server lol [link] [comments]
