What ever happened to the multi-island idea? Posted: 25 Oct 2020 11:31 AM PDT I remember a long time ago there was talk on the roadmap about some sort of tiered island system where you start on the spawn island, and through some progression event move your way up to increasingly dangerous but valuable islands. The goal IIRC being both to keep AK zergs from camping nakeds, and to deal with higher-level problems like map/bp wipes. It'd go until some event is triggered at the highest-tier island that lets people "prestige" reset back to spawn, either wiping the map or resetting individual/group progress for whoever triggered the event. Potentially to do away with conventional map/bp wipes. What ever happened to that? I thought that was a KILLER idea that would've made things *so* much nicer, especially for solos/duos/small groups. I don't see it on the roadmap anymore but don't remember any sort of "official" change of plans. Did I miss something? [link] [comments]

Confused on what kinds of bases you should have Posted: 25 Oct 2020 07:57 PM PDT Are big bases even worth it? Like once someone targets your base for it raid, there is a big chance that all of it will be gone overnight. I've seen 20man zerg's bases that have just been gone the next time I get on next day. Is there really any big benefit other than good for onlines with big bases? [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Oct 2020 01:53 PM PDT Imo you can progress WAY too quick in rust. It kills servers because there is no incentive to stay on a server with the loot you have because you can hop in a new one and hit oil rig twice and every single late game item in the game. People raiding pretty big bases day 1. Just feel it's too quick. [link] [comments]

Is it just me os playing the game as a solo getting harder and harder by thr day Posted: 25 Oct 2020 06:15 AM PDT I don't have any friends who play the game and the main reason I bought it was to play with a buddy but he can't play anymore so I'm always playing solo. Can't join a clan or anything because I only have 200 hours and I'm not interested in playing anything other than solo or duo. The main issue I have with playing solo is the fact that you're always alone and you literally have no one to look out for you. Trying to raid your neighbor? Guess what you'll be killed by someone who gets alerted by the noise and get all your stuff taken plus the base you were raiding raided. Trying to farm scrap? Get killed by someone from a clan that's build their base very close to a monument. So how do you pro-solo players out there survive? [link] [comments] |
