    Seriously? You spawn WITH a rock? If you're putting even horses behind a scrap wall, why not rocks? They're overpowered. They allow you to get a SPEAR right off of spawn! That's crazy! 100 scrap for a rock, and you should have to buy it in a monument in the center of the map.

    current state of game

    The addition of boat shops have killed pvp on oil rigs and cargo. Most people won't even bother countering at all because not only do you lose your expensive boat but you also loose your cards and gearset. Boats need to be reduced in price maybe 50 scrap for small boat 100 for a rehib? I literally took cargo and oil rig nonstop today on main and got countered a total of two times. If people see that you are on cargo or oil rig most just turn around and don't even bother

    Everything is slowly becoming less and less accessible for players to get, and horses are a big deal for a lot of players during the beginning stages and mid stages of playing. The fact that they are going to be put behind a scrap wall makes it that much more difficult to move around the map quickly and safely. I think that if they are going to add the stables, they should at least allow some horses to spawn out in the wild. I think that the horses out in the wild would be uncommon to find, and would need a saddle (possibly a tier 1 item) to ride. We need some movement options that don't involve being payed for by scrap

    Seriously?! This dude was talking about a rock, the problem is torches! Talk about op. Humans survived a million years without fire, yet you spawn with a source of it?! The night is hard to see in FOR A REASON. While I'm on the topic, why do we spawn as adults? We shouldn't even know how to use our fingers when we start on a server. Our motor skills could reset with the blueprint wipes.

    I tried to rotate the Tier 3 to place 2 boxes but can't seem to get the menu because of the pickup timer. Did they remove the workbench rotate too?

    Favorite early game combos?

    Just got back into rust after like a year and some change off, and was curious was the go to setup is nowadays for prim. Obviously once you get sars and aks you don't really need a combo, but lately I've been rocking the cbow + regular bow as I don't have BPs yet. But I'm guessing something like cbow and DB is ideal to have a chance to kill fairly geared people for the cost effectiveness?

    When I last played everyone would just normal bow and water pipe while naked, I don't see that as much (first wipe back on rustafield main), or atleast I haven't. I'm guessing water pipes got nerfed?

    I dont understand it.

    If someones posts anything that slightly relates to a modded server or modded gameplay in any thread they get put down by others. whats with that? just a genuine question. I want to understand why this subreddit is such a hivemind when it comes to that. i mean really.

    Modded is just a different type of server. people should be able to like a type of gameplay without getting shanked 24 times in a row.

    For those who dont know, modded is a type of sped-up fast-paced gameplay that varies from server to server. its generally a way to progress faster for those that actually have lives, like jobs or schooling to still be able to enjoy the game.

    why do people feel the need to make fun of and put others down for liking modded?

    I absolutely backed the idea of having to purchase mini heli. I could kinda understand the reasoning behind locking boats behind a scrap paywall. (Even though I dont 100% agree with it.) But why the fuck would you pay for horses? They're literally a mount you use when you come across them and dump when they get too tired or starving. You created a mount in the game just to turn it into dead content. Ill tell you ill never waste scrap on buying a horse or any other resource in the game to buy a horse. Its a dumb idea and I hope to god the rumors that yall wanna add a weight system to the game are false too.

    This game is fucking brutal

    I picked it up after watching a few zuckles videos and I kept on getting stuck in the loop of get 1,000 wood and some stone build a half ass base go find some food and die to some naked. Sometimes I wouldn't even make it to that point, actually most of the time. Is there anything I can do to make it past early game without getting bow and arrowed/Tommy gun'd/ spear'd/gang raped?

    Edit: does me playing on an official server have anything to do with it?

    Rust crashing after updating RAM

    I used to have 8gb 2133mhz ram, but today upgraded my pc with 16gb (2x8) of ram at 3000mhz. However, when i try load into a rust server the game crashes. If i out my graphics down to 0 it will load me into the server but if I increase graphics at all the game will crash. I then tried pitting my old ram stick back in instead of the new one and it let me load in at max settings again.

    How can i fix this?

    i found some info where you get a free skin after 12 hrs playtime and then you are on a cooldown of 24 hrs
    i was wondering if there is an official statement by facepunch regarding this

    Audio glitching, i cannot find a solution

    My audio seems to be client side only with some exceptions. I can hear footsteps, atleast my friends and i, opening chests,the sound when you hit the x/glowie bit on tree's and rocks, inventory noises, ambiance, heli noises,player voices.

    but i cant hear, gun shots (i think) sounds when i land on things/jump, hitting things. I don't know why this is. if anyone has a solution id love to know.

    The Zergmobile: A true rust story from the forced wipe.

    So there I was. Me and my mate hopped on for the force wipe. We picked up a few crossy/db kits and made a 2x1 with wood doors.

    It is important to note at this point that my friend owned the key locks, and at the front door of our airlock was open. I had killed some boars, so I was waiting for him to come to base and let me through the second door.

    Night fell across the land as I anxiously awaited his return. My spirits lifted as i saw the faint glow of a flashlight over the hill that I was looking towards. Finally, we can make some furnaces and a workbench. Then, i saw it. A 3 module flatbed truck. 7 men, all with aks and thompsons. The strangled cry of my terror and suprise was cut short by their feirce volley of ammunition. I was shocked. I spawned outside, only to hear them raiding our one remaining door. RIP one tc full of farm.

    Thanks for reading, this was a true story.
