| This game just isn't as fun anymore Posted: 08 Oct 2020 01:16 PM PDT I started in 2016 right at the beginning of XP system. I remember so many fun moments interacting with neighbors and just random encounters with people. Most of the people I've played with for so long used to be my neighbors. I'm sure most long time players can resonate with that. In 2017, the game was in a really good place. Since then, with the addition of cargo and oil rig and really really fast progression on wipe day, the game really just isn't as fun anymore. People are just ultra ultra competitive now. You kill a guy with a spear or bow on wipe day and he farms sulfur all night to offline your base (LOL). People (unless they are full metal 8+ deep) don't really roam anymore or even leave base with gear. They all just want to hide in the bushes with DBs and compound bows. Just boring and tiring. Tier 3 PvP is cancer due to AK superiority and learnable recoil. It's usually about whomever sees the other person first wins the fight. The AK is just stupid OP when compared to tier 2 weapons. Just too many wipe day try hard chads that will play for 18 hours straight and destroy the server in two days. Just can't compete with that. I wish there was a more casual and less competitive version of rust. Or people just stopped taking things so personal. You kill a guy with a spear and it's like you murdered his family IRL. Posted: 08 Oct 2020 06:14 AM PDT I was riding a horse towards outpost in a full metal AK kit and a boar ran out and hit me as I was about to enter and I got tagged with the red crosshair and died and lost everything. Why do animals cause you to be marked as hostile if they attack you? I really don't understand why this is even a thing. [link] [comments] | ||

My question is how much would a casual solo vanilla player have to play per day that allows them to eventually achieve mid-end tier loot on a monthly server? | Question about small battery and turret Posted: 08 Oct 2020 10:53 AM PDT Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if 1 small battery can sustain turret through night time completely ? I run into issue that with the dawn, my small batteries run low and there is not enough sun for my turret to feed off of it. So it keeps beeping on and off constantly for the next 30-60 seconds and during this time can be looted which raises an issue for me. Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||

| AITA for keeping skins some one gave me Posted: 08 Oct 2020 02:33 AM PDT okay so the other day I (15m) was playing with some online friends when some random guy who they know hops into the call and asks who has the least weapon skins, I say me and he asks for my steam (a game purchasing platform which also sells skins) I give it to him and he gives me about $30 worth of skins for my game as he no longer plays it. now not once have or did I ask for a skin from him and not once did he tell me he was going to give me a skin for any reason. obviously I was very great full said thanks and I did mean it all. about 1 week later he asks for them back and after me getting confused he said it was for a meme. this went back and forth for a while. it turns out he realised he could sell them and was upset he gave them to me. today he logged on to the server I was playing on and told everyone I'm a scammer and stuff like that and me look like a ass hole in game when I've been building in-game relationships up to not be hated and he has undone months of me being nice to ppl who are not as good at the game or have had a bad time on the server. the people I've spoken to and who are also friends with him have very split views on who is in the wrong. tldr; some one idk gave me a present then decided he wanted it back a week later and is now upset and ruining other stuff for me.
