• So is it intended to be able to hear a tree fall from a country mile away or is that just a bug?

VSS as Tier 3/Military grade gun to compete with AK Posted: 20 Feb 2021 06:48 PM PST I have a statement about the AK and I believe a lot of people would agree with me on this, The AK is hands down the Best weapon in the game(Besides M2) for any engagements from 0M - ~150M, of course you have the LR as a close competitor but the slight bit more DPS on the AK and the ability to 2 tap a full metal with AK makes it just that much better, I feel like there should be a close range gun that could atleast compete with the AK at closer engagements, so the ak goes from the king of all engagements from 0M-~150M to more like the king of all engagements from 40M-~150M, As a solution I feel like there should Be a VSS as A weapon in the game, The VSS in real life shoots at an extremely low velocity for stealth purposes and so it should in Rust aswell, The AK has a DPS of 375 and I believe this gun should have a dps of about 425, To keep the gun from being extremely overpowered I believe it should have a 20 round mag and Lose accuracy and damage quickly after about 50M and have a low velocity, (Maybe ingame value of like 100 or something which then very quickly drops after 50M just so you don't have people Beaming with a 425 DPS death laser) I Feel like this should be the solution to the issue of AK being the weapon for nearly all encounters leaving a lack of diversity in late game fights. ( Updated ) Rust Terms for Newbies! Posted: 20 Feb 2021 01:45 PM PST Zerg - A large group of players with usually 8+ members who use their numbers to win fights rather than their skill. Clan - A group of players usually from 4-8 members. Beam/Beamer - Someone who has a nearly perfect spray control with a weapon, or is able to hit every shot. Deep - How many members are in a group. For example " That group is 8 deep " Deep on - When you are able to get into a base without the use of any explosives, and get in because they open doors for you. Eco Raid - When you are able to get into a base by only using tools, eokas, or soft siding to enter, without using any explosives. Ghost - When a player changes their name to be identical to someone who's in a clan or zerg, they are then able to be let into the base by impersonating a member. Inside - When a member of a group or clan sabotages their own team and takes over the base. This usually includes them breaking bags and changing all the codes. Honeycomb - Placing extra walls on the outside of your base to make it stronger against raids. Kit - A gear set where you have a heals, armour, and weapons. Insta Bag - When you give a bag to someone and it has no timer. This can be done by giving a bag that hasn't been placed recently or spawned in on recently. Geared - When a player has a gear set that usually consistent of a gun or end game items. Airlock - Having 2 doors so that it blocks anyone from entering your base. Loaded - When somebody has a full inventory of very important or useful items. Jump Check - A jump check is used to identify teammates when you have not created a team yet or have multiple teams because of the large amount of people. DB - Double Barrel Shotgun SAR - Semi Automatic Rifle Downed - When you fight a player and they are only downed and not full-dead. Doubled - When a player double headshots while spraying. Leech - When somebody joins late into wipe and doesn't farm or contribute, but still uses high tier weapons. Can also be when a member of your team doesn't farm but everybody else does. 1 Shot - When you or a teammate gets a player down to a health where you are able to kill them with one more bullet. Mini - A minicopter, which you can buy for 750 scrap at bandit. Heli - Patrol Helicopter, attacks players who has more than 2 pieces of cloths on and or a weapon better then a hunting bow. GP - Gunpowder Roof Camper - Somebody who sits on their roof and shoots at players with little or no risk to themselves. Door Camper - Somebody who sits at your door and waits for you to come outside, usually with a double barrel, eoka, or other shotgun. LR - LR-300 Assault Rifle AK - Refers to the AK-47, not to be confused with the LR. Boom - Any types of explosive that are used to raid a base. Can include beancan grenades, satchels, C4, rockets, and explosive ammo. Core - The main area of the base which contains the Tool Cupboard and best loot. Grubbing / Grub - Using weapons like a double barrel or compound bow to try and clean up a fight, or make a play on somebody who is geared. Snowball - Obtaining a high tier weapon while you have nothing, or a very low tier weapon. Forced wipe - Happens on the first thursday of every month, on most servers it is BP wipe. This is usually when they also add an update to the game. BP Wipe - This is when both the map and blueprints wipe. Map Wipe - When the BP's stay but the map wipes. Bloody Mouse - A brand of mouse that has been banned from the game since you were able to download undetectable scripts into the mouse.
