    Its midday in EU and we are greeted with no twitch streamers live. Why don't we get more dedicated rust players to do the drops instead of just people who stream for 2 hours everyday then get off? If you read the comments on Allister's posts, there are many devoted rust players who deserve drops.

    I noticed this the last 2-3 drop cycles. What I find many OTV Streamers do when they have Rust drops is stream Rust for a short period to build up an army of AFK Rust "viewers" and then switch to another game.

    This allows them to stretch out the overt viewer benefits of Rust drops and apply them to other activities. The high number of viewers enable them to have greater visibility in other Twitch categories.

    IMO, this is why they keep coming back to Rust. Not because they enjoy playing the game or gain long term fans from Rust, but because it allows them to expand their profile outside of Rust.

    My teammates and literally everyone on Rust is so damn obsessed with raiding. It's always the first thing that comes to mind when they wanna do something. "Hey we got enough explosives to raid someone let's go" and it's always their number one goal to keep raiding people. And ofc then they complain that the "server is dead" even though they caused it to be that way.

    How can I be nice without putting myself at serious risk? (new to rust)

    Hey all, recently started playing Rust and most of my really fun or memorable moments, either brief or extended have so far started with kindness. So far i'm pretty much an outsider to the community and I don't like the idea of giving into the KOSing everyone and base raiding mindset.

    But due to everyone around me mostly being hostile, what is the more tactical way to be kind without getting shot in the head as soon as I alert them of my position by saying "Hey dude, i'm friendly, how's it going?". I guess the alternative is to set up a base nearby where I can have the security of a base and then be able to hand out clothes or items to randoms, not entirely sure what is useful enough to give to people though that they will like. I'm very new to this game so feel free to suggest any other ideas.

    If you play on high FOV (80-90) this keybind will "Zoom" in for you when you ADS by swapping between 70 and 90 fov

    You might have to have your fov on 90 for this to work I am not sure. Either way I love this setting!

    bind mouse1 +attack2;+meta.if_true "fov 70";+meta.if_false "fov 90"

    This one makes your comma key toggle a huge audio boost so you can hear footsteps very easily

    bind comma "[~audio.game](https://~audio.game) 1;audio.game 4"

    This one makes Shift+K your kill key, no more accidently killing yourself mid fight (you will either have to enter this each session or make your CFG file READ ONLY.

    bind [Shift+k] "kill"

    This one makes you a full boonie hat, bandana, shirt, pants in one press

    bind backslash "craft.add -23994173;craft.add -702051347;craft.add 602741290;craft.add 1992974553"

    You can type this in each session and it will ignore the hitsound on multiple kinds of invalid shots (this will help a lot of poor latency users have a more realistic estimate of how much dps they have done in a fight, because you won't hear invalid hitmarkers AS OFTEN)

    Hello Everyone
    I have around 500 hrs and I can kinda control the ak spray somewhere around 50-100m (I know its not much), however, when trying the farthest targets while landing a decent spray pattern I cant seem to get any bullets to connect.
    Can anyone explain to me what am I doing wrong or how to improve at shooting higher distances? Im using 0.3 Ingame sens and 500dpi on a 90x30cm mousepad

    Cancerous? Yes. Disheartening? Yes. Still, one of the greatest games I have ever played in my life. The second I have a couple of months to spend doing nothing but playing Rust, I will find my way back on. Can I ask if the console version is any good? I assume not but I haven't tried it.
