Electricity still has inconsistencies that make it painful to deal with nearly 3 years later. Posted: 24 Jul 2021 08:00 AM PDT The major blocker for me is that the branch output of an electrical branch ALWAYS drains itself, even if nothing else is plugged in/switched on. This makes it so you can't use a single, centralized power line for different circuits. If that's by design, then it's a dumb design. Add a checkbox in the configuration menu that says whenever it should always drain even if nothing is consuming it (In case somebody needs specific power nuber for some logic) Splitters don't exhibit this behavior, but they don't let you fine-tune the split power and rather require you to fuck around with them much more. This basically makes electricity way more tedious than it actually is - Requiring to set up an electricity-supply -> storage system for each separate circuit if you want to stay effective. It should be possible to to create a central power storage system and then siphon parts of electricity to power different circuits via branches, but if you do that now, even if the circuit is not active, the battery will drain anyways. Not to mention, circuits periodically cease to simply work unless you power cycle them. As far as I know, water plumbing suffers from similar inconsistencies that make it outright glitchy and unintuitive to deal with. Also, the new DLC boomboxes straight out delete themselves when they're drained of their durability - Tedious rewiring shit in case that happens is just bad. Will those be ever addressed? This comes up every few months and no answer is ever given. This has been reported hundreds of times over the years. You can work around some of those with a massive amount of gates and some advanced logic - But those gates have a passive discharge of 1 electricity unit and due to that, bigger systems are just not viable to set-up. Sources: https://www.reddit.com/r/playrust/comments/hdwny0/electricity_branches_draining_battery/ https://rustez.com/bugs/branch-out-drains-always-power-r1447/ https://www.reddit.com/r/rustrician/comments/g3iieo/how_do_you_wire_branches_so_that_excess_power/ Edit: Many people are missing my point: Take this purely theoretical circuit: https://imgur.com/a/ho2NuJN Even though turrets aren't on, the branch still drains 94 power out to "void", leaving the lights unpowered. In a perfect world, branches wouldn't always drain power, they'd drain only if there's actually something consuming them. [link] [comments]
Make fertilizer easier to acquire Posted: 24 Jul 2021 03:57 PM PDT That's it. That's the post. (fertilizer was made exceedingly hard to acquire when they altered the horse dung drop rate, please fix this issue, FP) [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Jul 2021 02:48 PM PDT I got bored and tested to see how rust performed on the new beta MacOS. The long FPS lag glitch was gone - hopefully that's the case for other rust Mac players. [link] [comments]

[Suggestion] You should be able to share BP crafting (not the actual BP) with teammates Posted: 24 Jul 2021 02:36 PM PDT For this to work you would need to be standing next to your teammate and next to the relevant workbench at which point you could see the same recipes that they can. Once you move away from the table or teammate the recipes disappear. This way 1 person is not responsible for most of the crafting. What do you think? Would it be too overpowered? Or maybe it's just a bad idea? It was just a random thought I had that I'm sure has been had many times before. [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Jul 2021 08:43 PM PDT So I was playing on a new server with a friend and we got a nice little base down whatever and I had the idea to put a lock on our cupboard. What my stupid self realized is that the cupboard was backwards and since it facing a wall I can't rotate it and my friend can't get into the cupboard. Please help!! [link] [comments]

These last two weeks my fighting ability has plummeted. Any advice? Posted: 24 Jul 2021 08:11 PM PDT Myself: For some reason my performance has plummeted lately in-game. I missed 4 sar shots at 50m against an unaware guy running almost straight away from me. I keep losing random fights where I normally would have won. My reflexes seem slower but that might be hard to prove. My scouting, positioning, and stealth are still working great. I am wracking my brain trying to figure out what is wrong. Here are theories: [link] [comments]
What’s the dirties little camping spot you’ve been grubbed from? Posted: 24 Jul 2021 07:49 PM PDT Other than outside your front door - are there any spots on the map that you always check super carefully because some DB boy has clapped your cheeks there before? Water treatment switch building, airfield switch building, sewer branch drop down - some examples. [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Jul 2021 07:33 PM PDT I'm looking at starting a Rust server and doing some research. Just wondering what server options in rental plan help for performance or what really makes a difference? For eg basic plan for 20 slots has 8gb RAM, 3.8ghz - 4ghz CPU, normal CPU priority. Obviously more is always better but in terms of server specs what is optimal for a good experience and what settings matter most? I'm assuming the more slots, the more horsepower you need.. Can anyone point to any resource explaining? [link] [comments] |
