An Archery Glove would be cool. Something that makes the arrows fly flatter (Accuracy) or maybe increases pull back speed?

I made a Rust birthday card based on art posted here by u/epicmilk123.

    Tier 2 cooking

    Posted: 25 Jul 2021 04:23 PM PDT

Now that fishing is on the way and we got the mixing table and the barbecue grill, it would be nice to get "tier 2 cooking" out of concept limbo. It was also on the original roadmap and it totally makes sense now. Do you agree?

    GG's For Vets Rust Tournament - Partnering w/ Stackup.org

Good afternoon all you nakeds and chads out there, alike!

Clayford08 here from GeriatricsGaming. On the 7th of August at 4pm CST we will be hosting a Charity Rust Tournament for the stackup organization!

Lootswap is a proud sponsor of this event!

"Stack Up is a 501(c)3 military charity supporting active and veteran service members from the US and allied nations by promoting positive mental health and suicide prevention through gaming and geek culture. We utilize a comprehensive approach consisting of 4 pillar programs: Supply Crates, Air Assaults, The Stacks, and the Overwatch program.

"Supply Crates" are video game care packages sent to deployed units and veterans in need. They [Supply Crates] serve as a preventative measure, aiding to prevent the onset of operational stress by providing a healthy outlet for decompression before there's a problem.

"Air Assaults" are all expenses paid trips for veterans to attend gaming and geek culture events. These trips reduce the threat of isolation by enabling them to connect with members of their military family who share their interests, and introduce them to a community of fans and industry professionals who support and admire them.

"The Stacks" are our volunteer force for good. These teams, located in many places around the globe, serve veterans and their communities by hosting events, participating in community projects, and creating opportunities for veterans to come together in their local area and support one another.

Our "Stack Up Overwatch Program (StOP)" provides 24/7 crisis intervention and peer to peer mental health support through our Discord community. Regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other factor, veterans and civilians alike are welcome to come speak with our trained and certified volunteers about whatever challenges they might be facing."

This event will consist of 30 teams of 4 competing for glory in an ultimate raid/PvP style tournament! The team with the most points wins. So come out and raid your neighbors for a good cause! We still have several team slots available, so if you would like to compete, feel free to sign up! Sign-ups are free, all we ask is that you bring your A-game on August 7th!

Completely new to rust. Is this a feature or a bug?

    Posted: 25 Jul 2021 02:37 AM PDT

Is this normal, too see shades of the ironsight two more times, as if i have blurry vision?

    Posted: 25 Jul 2021 02:48 PM PDT

Any clue on why it automatically goes up? I have tried reinstalling. There is also an issue in game where whenever I press enter to go in chat, and come out of chat, I cant move for a second until I hit left click which seems to fix it. These issues have just started randomly and help would be nice

    New Biome/Monument: Volcano Mountain

    Posted: 25 Jul 2021 04:02 PM PDT

Wouldn't it be cool if every map had one big volcano mountain which you could enter through several cave entrances around the mountain, and the closer you got to the center of the mountain the hotter it got?

There would be trick jumps, similar to normal caves, but where you'd definitely die as you'd fall into lava.

You'd have to constantly heal yourself due to the heat, making it risky to go there, but then the closer you got to the center the better loot you'd find, though at the center you'd have a good chance of meeting people who entered the Volcano from other cave entrances.

    Can't maintain stable fps

    Posted: 25 Jul 2021 08:15 PM PDT

This game has had ups and down for me. With this recent update, I can't seem to maintain a stable fps and it puts me at a disadvantage sometimes. I've done pretty much every optimization tweak I could find but my FPS is still not very good. Meanwhile, on games like DayZ, Battlefield, and GTA V I'll get 60-120fps easily. Rust likes to dip into the 40s for me at the worst times. Anyone have any secret optimization tricks that might work for me? I have a Nvidia card btw.

    Best settings for maximum fps

    Posted: 25 Jul 2021 11:07 AM PDT

Rust tip for newer players (maybe a few seasoned as well)

    Posted: 25 Jul 2021 10:36 AM PDT

    1. Go to your graphics settings
    2. Find Max shadow lights
    3. Turn that shit to 0
    4. Never turn it on again

This setting makes interior spaces pitch black. So if someone is raiding you that has this setting off, and you have it on (and it's night but there's a campfire in your base), they will see you and you won't see them.

It's a huge disadvantage and provides nothing beneficial nor does it add any immersion. The fact that it's in the game and on by default is crazy.

    little rust tip

    Posted: 25 Jul 2021 09:56 AM PDT

hey all, many of you people may know that when playing rust your physic steps usually are defaulted to 30, today I will show a simple fix that will always start rust with physic steps as 60.

    Steps :

    1. rust needs to be closed
    2. navigate to your rust folder, this could be done in many ways, the most simple way is to go to your steam library --> right click on rust --> properties --> local files --> browse local files
    3. locate a file called "cfg" and open it
    4. click on the client file (you may need to open it with notepad)
    5. copy this and place it at the bottom of the file : physics.steps "60"
    6. press the file button at the top right and press save

you are now done, rust should always start up with physic steps at 60.

hope this makes it easier instead of always putting in the console
