    Is rust fun solo? is it more like ark where you need a big group or dayz where solo is perfectly viable?

    I just found out that Rust finally has a release date on xbox, and im trying to decide if I would enjoy it. I really liked ark but even on the boosted servers it was way too much work to build a decent base and also tame dinosaurs. Dayz however is much more viable solo even if it is easier with friends, so for those who have played all 3 games, is rust more like ark where base building is intensive and takes a group or is it possible/fun solo like games such as dayz?

    People drop out like flies around the 2 week mark on monthly wipe servers

    I don't know why, I rememebr a year ago this wasn't the case. The most action would ususally be the final week of wipe.

    I foind now that there's so much building involved, farm base, minicopter garage, car gargae, horse stable, electricity generation towers. It just means people have to build one MASSIVE compound to get everything, and if they lose that compound. Basically one offline raid and they're just done for the whole wipe.

    It never used to be like this, some people would rebuild and take revenege, some would drop out. Some would be ready for being raided and split loot in multiple bases.

    I find that now the stakes are so high because the base has to be giant single base, even solos and duos have to build giant towering bases. Once that's done, they're done for the wipe.
