Map gen sucks now Posted: 28 Aug 2021 10:19 PM PDT There are no forests. At all. Ever. The entire map is just open field covered in small bases that can be seen from everywhere. The desert and snow are the exact same, just open with nothing. I'm lucky to see a few sparse trees but where are the forests??? The entire map just looks dull and dead, like a battlefield not an actual wilderness, we need some green. There are 3 biomes in the game now- open field, open snow and open desert. For me it makes the game not fun at all, and it's even worse when i'm a solo. Every single square of the map is the same and every single wipe i'm forced to build in the same scenery. Would you guys like to see abandoned houses and other monuments that give Rust Island a postapocalyptical fell? Posted: 28 Aug 2021 11:16 AM PDT So I have been watching a lot of Walking Dead recently and played a lot of Rust. I really like the survival vibe. Watching the show tho Rust Island felt less and less like a place where people actually lived. While there are monuments such as the Power Plant and Water Treatment it lacks lving spaces. There are no schools, parks or playgrounds cinemas, restaurants, etc. I feel like if we got monuments like this it could make Rust more immersive. But I also understand that the Map can get cluttered and too many monuments can affect performance. Too many spread out monuments would mean less PVP and PVP being harder to find in general. More easily accesible loot would make the game easier aswell. And since Survival PVP is the core content of Rust and the game does this content pretty well maybe its better not to add such monuments.
